PREFACE
The topic of masturbation is often considered a taboo subject within both secular and religious circles. For many, it is an area of personal struggle that remains hidden in the shadows, where shame and isolation often prevent open discussion.
The intention behind this book is not to shame, but rather to shine a light on the spiritual, emotional, and physical consequences of masturbation, and to offer a path to healing and deliverance.
Over the years, I have encountered many individuals who silently struggle with the bond of addiction to masturbation. While the act is frequently viewed as a mere physical indulgence or a personal habit, its spiritual implications run much deeper.
The powerful forces at work behind such behaviours are often overlooked, yet they have the potential to affect one's emotional well-being, relationships, and spiritual connection with God.
Through these pages, I invite you to explore not only the destructive forces that masturbation can invite but also the transformative power of Christ’s deliverance.
It is my hope that this book will serve as a guide for those seeking freedom—freedom from spiritual oppression, emotional bondage, and physical consequences. It is a call for deliverance, a message of restoration, and an invitation to embrace the abundant life that Christ offers.
As you read, I encourage you to approach this with an open heart, ready to receive the healing and transformation that God desires for your life. No struggle is too great, and no chain is too strong for the power of God to break.
May this book empower you to walk in the fullness of freedom, peace, and purpose that God has promised for His children.
INTRODUCTION: A MESSAGE THE CHURCH MUST HEAR
This is not a message for the faint-hearted. This is not just for the weak, the struggling, or the lost.
This is for the pastors, the prophets, the worship leaders, the bishops, the youth ministers, the evangelists—the men and women of God who preach fire on the altar, but battle fire in their private parts.
We are in a time where God is exposing hidden demons in His house—not to shame us, but to deliver us. And one of the greatest demons that has crept into the church unnoticed, unchallenged, and undisturbed is the spirit behind masturbation.
Yes—masturbation. A word many won’t even say out loud in the pulpit, but one that is silently enslaving thousands behind the pulpit.
It is in the prayer closet.
It is in the hotel rooms after revival meetings.
It is in the bedrooms of single women and married men.
It is in the hearts of Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, and prophets.
It is hiding beneath robes and behind titles.
And worst of all—it is stealing destinies.
The Holy Spirit says: This sin has robbed My people of purity, stolen their fire, polluted their anointing, and twisted their identity.
This is not just about sex.
This is about your soul.
This is about the next generation.
This is about the bride of Christ being washed and made ready.
We can no longer remain silent.
Masturbation is not a phase.
It is not a release.
It is not a personal habit.
It is a demon. It is a spirit of lust. It is a doorway to homosexuality. It is a destroyer of purpose.
And if we—God’s servants—do not confront it, we allow it to grow in our churches, our families, and our pulpits.
It’s time to speak what others are afraid to say.
It’s time to confront what religion has hidden.
It’s time to expose what Satan has normalized. And if this message reaches you, it’s because God wants to break the chain, restore your purity, and give you back what the enemy has stolen—your fire, your authority, and your destiny.
Don’t delay.
Don’t make excuses.
Go forward—Pure. Healed. Empowered. Clean. Your destiny is waiting on the other side of your o
CHAPTER 1
OPENING REFLECTION
Masturbation, the act of self-stimulation for sexual pleasure, is a behaviour many individuals engage in, whether out of curiosity, self-exploration, or as a means of sexual release.
While it is a common practice, it’s effects can be far-reaching, impacting not only the physical body but also the mind and spirit.
From a Christian perspective, masturbation is often viewed with concern, as it can be associated with lustful thoughts, selfish desires, and a disconnection from God’s intended design for sexuality.
As followers of Christ, we believe that sexual pleasure is meant to be experienced within the confines of a committed marriage.
Acts like masturbation, while seemingly harmless, can have both physical and spiritual consequences that draw individuals away from God's presence and the fellowship of believers.
Masturbation is frequently surrounded by secrecy, guilt, and controversy. While some view it as a normal aspect of human sexuality, others acknowledge the deeper implications it carries—especially spiritually and psychologically.
Beyond the temporary pleasure it offers, masturbation can lead to addiction, feelings of guilt, anxiety, and self-condemnation, all of which weaken one’s spiritual life.
It can cause a person to feel spiritually distant from God, creating a barrier between them and the richness of His presence.
From a biblical standpoint, masturbation can foster lustful thoughts and reinforce sinful behaviours, driving individuals further from God’s intended purpose for sexuality.
The act of self-gratification, is a means of satisfying selfish desires rather than pursuing the holiness and purity God calls us to uphold. Over time, this can lead to a broken spiritual connection, where one’s relationship with God becomes strained and distant.
Scripture teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honour them as such.
In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, it is written, "Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him.
For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple." When we engage in behaviours that defile our bodies, we not only dishonour God but also hinder the fullness of His presence within us. Masturbation is an act of disobedience that undermines the purity God desires for His people.
Physically, masturbation can have a range of effects, including fatigue, decreased motivation, and a loss of energy.
These effects, while often subtle, can accumulate over time, leading to a general sense of depletion or weariness.
On a deeper level, it can also negatively impact one’s relationships, creating barriers to intimacy and emotional connection. The act of self-pleasure inadvertently fosters a sense of disconnection from others, reinforcing feelings of loneliness.
Psychologically, masturbation can lead to feelings of guilt, anxiety, and self-condemnation. The cycle of indulging in this act, followed by regret, often perpetuates a pattern of negative thinking.
This can cause individuals to feel trapped, unable to break free from the cycle of self-doubt and shame. For many, it becomes an addiction—an attempt to fill an emotional void that can never be truly satisfied.
CHAPTER 2
CONSEQUENCES OF MASTURBATION
Physical and psychological consequences of masturbation
Before delving into the spiritual aspects of masturbation, it is essential to take an educational look at the physical and psychological consequences of this behaviour.
Masturbation leads to significant effects on both the body and the mind. While the complexity of the human body and mind must be acknowledged, it is also important to recognize how self-destructive habits can adversely affect one's overall well-being.
Physical Consequences on Health
Sore Genitals: Frequent masturbation can lead to a condition known as oedema (or edema), where swelling occurs in the penis due to the retention of fluid in body tissue.
This condition is often the result of excessive pressure applied to certain body parts, leading to irritation and discomfort.
Low Sperm Count: Excessive masturbation can interfere with the body’s ability to produce testosterone, which may contribute to a decreased sperm count. This can affect male fertility and overall reproductive health.
Dhat Syndrome: A condition observed primarily in India, Dhat syndrome is characterized by the passage of semen during urination. Research published in the International Journal of Medical Research & Health Sciences (January 2015) suggests that Dhat syndrome may be linked to excessive masturbation.
Over time, this can contribute to sexual issues such as premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction.
Rashes and Redness: Aggressive or prolonged masturbation can lead to skin irritation, resulting in rashes and redness. These skin conditions may require medical treatment to address infections or dryness caused by the friction.
Social Isolation: Psychological studies have found that individuals struggling with masturbation addiction often withdraw from social gatherings and events.
These individuals tend to prefer isolation, spending more time alone and avoiding social interactions. This withdrawal can negatively impact relationships and hinder social well-being.
Low Self-Esteem: People who frequently engage in masturbation may develop feelings of anxiety and depression.
Although masturbation may provide temporary relief, it can also create a negative self-image and erode confidence, leaving individuals feeling unworthy or self-conscious in social situations.
Physical Exhaustion: Frequent masturbation can lead to physical fatigue. The body expends significant energy during the act, and excessive indulgence can result in depleted energy levels, making it difficult to focus on daily tasks or responsibilities.
Hormonal Imbalance: Masturbation can disrupt normal hormonal levels, such as testosterone and dopamine.
This imbalance can lead to mood swings, irritability, and a diminished libido over time, affecting both sexual health and overall emotional well-being.
Chronic Pain or Discomfort: Intense or repeated masturbation can cause physical discomfort, such as soreness in the genital area or a condition colloquially known as "blue balls."
This occurs when prolonged sexual tension is not released, leading to discomfort in the testicles.
Sleep Disturbances: Masturbation, particularly if done right before bedtime, can interfere with sleep patterns. It may lead to disturbed or restless sleep and, in some cases, feelings of guilt or shame afterward, which can prevent one from achieving restorative rest.
Psychological Consequences
Guilt and Shame: One of the most pervasive psychological effects of masturbation is the accompanying feelings of guilt and shame. When the act conflicts with an individual’s personal beliefs or values, it can lead to negative self-perception, self-criticism, and a sense of unworthiness.
Desensitization to Pleasure: Over time, masturbation may result in a reduced sensitivity to sexual pleasure.
This desensitization can lead to the need for more intense stimulation to achieve the same level of satisfaction, which can affect future relationships and contribute to problems such as erectile dysfunction.
Depression and Anxiety: Studies have shown a correlation between excessive masturbation and heightened feelings of depression and anxiety.
While the act may provide temporary relief from stress or negative emotions, it often exacerbates emotional distress over time. Feelings of inadequacy, hopelessness, and guilt can perpetuate an ongoing cycle of self-destructive behaviour.
Isolation: Individuals grappling with guilt and shame related to masturbation may begin to isolate themselves from social interactions. They may feel embarrassed or unworthy, leading to loneliness and a lack of emotional connection with others.
This isolation can intensify the psychological impact of the habit and discourage individuals from seeking help or engaging in meaningful relationships.
While masturbation is often viewed as a normal aspect of human sexuality in society, it’s physical and psychological consequences can be harmful, especially when it becomes an uncontrollable habit. It is important to recognize these effects, as they can impact one’s overall health, emotional well-being, and relationships. If left unchecked, the long-term consequences may hinder personal growth.
Spiritual consequences of masturbation
Masturbation, while often considered a personal or private matter, can have profound spiritual consequences that significantly affect one’s relationship with God, self, and others.
For believers, our actions should align with God’s Word, and each behaviour we engage in has the potential to shape our spiritual growth and maturity. Here are some key spiritual implications of masturbation:
Distancing from God
Masturbation creates a barrier between the believer and God. The Bible teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to honour God through our actions.
Engaging in this self-gratifying act often stems from selfish desires, which ultimately pull us away from God’s presence and His family. This disconnection can lead to spiritual dryness, making it increasingly difficult to feel close to God or sense His guidance in our lives.
Lack of Self-Control
Masturbation is often a manifestation of a lack of control over one’s own desires. When we allow the flesh to dominate, we weaken our willpower, making it easier for other sinful behaviours to take root.
Failing to exercise self-control can diminish our spiritual strength and hinder our growth in Christ. By yielding to momentary urges, we allow the flesh to lead, which makes it harder to cultivate a spirit of discipline and obedience.
Sinful Thought Patterns
The act of masturbation is often accompanied by impure thoughts or fantasies, which contradict God’s standard of purity.
Jesus teaches that anyone who looks at someone with lust has already committed adultery in their heart (Matthew 5:28).
By allowing such thoughts to grow through masturbation, one can foster unhealthy and sinful mental patterns.
Over time, these patterns can erode spiritual purity, making it increasingly difficult to maintain a Christ-centred mindset and walk in holiness.
Impeding Spiritual Growth
Though masturbation may provide temporary relief, it’s long-term spiritual consequences can hinder one’s growth in Christ. Sin, whether hidden or unaddressed, disrupts our relationship with God and breeds feelings of guilt, shame, and condemnation.
This spiritual disconnect prevents us from growing in faith, obedience, and holiness. Unconfessed sin clouds the clarity needed to hear God's voice and impedes our pursuit of spiritual maturity.
Apathy Toward Holiness
Engaging in masturbation can lead to a dangerous complacency with regard to holiness and purity.
Rather than seeking true intimacy with God, individuals may seek fulfilment through temporary, flesh-driven pleasures.
This substitution erodes a passion for holiness, making it more difficult to pursue a life of devotion and purity.
The more one indulges in such behaviour, the more numb they become to God’s higher calling for their lives.
Brokenness and Regret
Masturbation often carries with it a deep sense of internal brokenness, especially when accompanied by guilt and shame. After engaging in the act, many individuals experience regret, self-loathing, and despair.
These emotions can create a false sense of unworthiness, distancing them from the grace and redemption that is freely offered through Jesus Christ.
This brokenness is an indication that the act is not aligned with the spirit, which longs for purity, closeness with God, and alignment with His will.
Hindrance to Relationships and Intimacy with Others
Masturbation can have negative effects on relationships, particularly those that are meant to reflect God's design for intimacy.
The practice distorts one’s understanding of true connection, often reducing relationships to physical gratification rather than emotional and spiritual unity.
This can interfere with the development of healthy, Christ-centred relationships, especially in marriage.
In the context of marriage, healthy sexual intimacy is meant to reflect Christ’s sacrificial love for the Church—selfless, intimate, and wholly committed.
Opening the Door to Demonic Influence
Persistent sinful behaviours like masturbation can open the door to spiritual oppression and demonic influence. While not all instances of masturbation directly lead to demonic oppression, repeated indulgence in sin can create vulnerability in the spiritual realm.
The Bible warns us in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Without repentance, unchecked sin allows the enemy to exert control over one’s mind, emotions, and actions, leading to spiritual bondage.
By failing to seek deliverance, individuals may inadvertently invite spiritual warfare into their lives.
Therefore, masturbation is not merely a physical act—it carries significant spiritual consequences that can impede one’s walk with God and hinder growth in faith.
For believers, it is crucial to recognize the long-term effects of engaging in this behaviour and to seek deliverance, repentance, and restoration through the grace and power of Jesus Christ.
Through intentional self-control, prayer, and a renewed commitment to holiness, it is possible to break free from the spiritual grip of masturbation and walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for your life.
CHAPTER 3
AN IN-DEPTH EXPLORATION OF THE SPIRITUALITY FOUND IN MASTURBATION
Have you ever found yourself dreaming about being with children or breastfeeding a baby, despite having none in reality?
If so, you may be experiencing the spiritual consequences of masturbation because each time we masturbate we donate our sperms to the spiritual realm, leading to spiritual pregnancies and the birth of spiritual children by the spiritual husbands and wives we get from this act of masturbation.
Masturbation, from a spiritual perspective, is more than just a natural bodily function; it can be seen as a demonic force.
The spirit of masturbation is not alone—it is often accompanied by the spirit of lust. Lust manifests itself in various forms, including the lust of the eyes, which never leads to satisfaction.
Even if one experiences frequent sexual encounters, the insatiable nature of lust only grows stronger, often pushing individuals towards pornography and other forms of sexual immorality that are pervasive in today's world.
As the Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 6:18-19, “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the one who sins sexually sins against their own body.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?
You are not your own.” Thisserves as a reminder that our bodies are sacred, meant to honour God, and any sin against the body, including masturbation, is an act of disobedience.
The Role of Thoughts and Imaginations
Masturbation is often driven by thoughts and imaginations. In 2 Corinthians 10:5, we are instructed to “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
The act of masturbation is the result of failing to cast down these thoughts and bring them into submission to Christ.
The devil uses thoughts and fantasies as a means of manipulating individuals, even from a distance.
When you entertain these thoughts, whether consciously or subconsciously, you allow spiritual forces to influence your actions. This opens the door for demonic activity, and though you may not see them physically, these spirits have gained access to your life through your actions.
The Three-Part Human Nature: Spirit, Soul and Body.
The Bible tells us that humans were created as beings with three distinct components: body, soul, and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
“May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Each part plays a significant role in shaping who we are and how we relate to God.
The Influence of Sin and the Flesh
Sin, as personified in the Bible, resides in the flesh. This is made clear in Romans 7:17-19, where Paul writes, “As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.” Paul’s lament underscores the internal conflict we all face between the desires of the flesh and the aspirations of the spirit.
Sin, rooted in the flesh, influences the soul, making it more difficult to obey God’s will.
As a Christian, the relationship between spirit, body, and soul is crucial in overcoming sin and living a righteous life.
The soul, which resides in the heart, is the seat of emotions, will, and intellect. It is influenced either by the spirit (which connects to God) or the body (which is influenced by the fleshly desires of the world).
Overindulgence in Desires: When the body dominates through excessive cravings (food, pleasure, materialism), it can suppress the spirit’s ability to lead.
How the Spirit Affects the Soul
When a Christian is spiritually strong, the spirit leads the soul, which then governs the body. This alignment allows a believer to walk in righteousness and resist sin.
Spiritual Strength Overcomes Sin:
Romans 8:13 – "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body and masturbation is one of deeds of the body." A strong spirit, fed by prayer, worship, and the Word of God, helps the soul resist temptation.
Romans 12:2 – "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." A spirit filled with God’s truth renews the soul’s thinking, replacing sinful thoughts with godly wisdom.
The spirit, when aligned with God, helps the soul overcome anger, lust, pride, and other emotions that lead to sin. A spirit connected to God affirms a Christian’s identity, preventing the soul from seeking validation in worldly things
How the Body Affects the Soul
If the body dominates, it weakens the spirit, leading the soul toward sin. The Bible warns that the flesh (sinful nature) fights against the spirit (Galatians 5:17).
When the body craves sinful pleasures (lust, gluttony, laziness, etc.), it weakens the soul’s ability to resist temptation. Repeated sin dulls the conscience, making the soul more accepting of sin.
The Battle between Spirit and Body for the Soul
If the body is in control, the soul and the spirit are weakened, leading to sin and spiritual death. If the spirit is strong, the soul follows God’s will, and the body submits to righteousness.
If the body is in control, the soul is weakened, leading to sin and spiritual death. Galatians 5:16 – "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
As a Christian, the spirit must lead the soul, and the soul must govern the body. When the spirit is strengthened by the Word and prayer, it overcomes the body’s sinful desires, allowing the soul to remain pure before God.
The Spiritual Warfare at Play
Masturbation, like all forms of sexual immorality, is not just an isolated behaviour—it is a manifestation of a spiritual battle.
The demons associated with lust and impurity infiltrate the mind through thoughts and imaginations, and when these are entertained, they lead individuals into actions that dishonour God.
As we indulge in such acts, we invite these demonic spirits to operate in our lives, influencing our thoughts, desires, and ultimately, our actions.
The spiritual consequences of masturbation are far-reaching. It creates a disconnect between the individual and God, as the spirit becomes weakened, and the soul is led astray by the flesh.
This results in spiritual dryness, guilt, shame, and a sense of brokenness. The longer the cycle continues, the more difficult it becomes to break free from the bondage of sin and the influence of these demonic forces.
Breaking the Chains of Masturbation: A Call for Deliverance
It is crucial to recognize that overcoming the spiritual implications of masturbation is not solely about changing behaviour; it is a call for deliverance.
Through prayer, repentance, and surrendering one’s life to God, individuals can break free from the spiritual chains that masturbation and its associated demons create.
The key is to renew the mind, resist temptation, and walk in obedience to God’s Word.
The battle is spiritual, and victory comes through the strength of the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live in freedom and purity.
CHAPTER 4
WHY MASTURBATION BEING AN ACT OF THE FLESH IS TOO STUBBORN
The Bible teaches us that "the mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace" (Romans 8:6). It further states that "the mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law" (Romans 8:7).
Masturbation, as an act of the flesh, is rooted in the sinful nature of human beings and thus becomes a deeply ingrained and stubborn behaviour.
Its persistence is not only because of the physical act but also due to the spiritual forces that perpetuate it.
In today's world, the enemy has devised tools to further entrench this struggle, such as the growing market of sex toys and devices designed to stimulate and satisfy carnal desires.
These tools, unfortunately, contribute to the further degradation of humanity, leading individuals further down the path of sin, which ultimately brings death and destruction.
The sex toy industry, with its allure of instant gratification, is an instrument of the enemy, designed to keep people in a cycle of fleshly indulgence.
Along with this rise in sexual aids, the proliferation of pornography exacerbates the issue. Pornography fuels the act of masturbation, creating a dangerous cycle that often leads to addiction.
What many fail to recognize is that these behaviours can be more than just habits—they can evolve into generational curses.
Unseen and unspoken, the sins of previous generations—whether they involve addictions or other forms of immorality—are often passed down unknowingly to the next generation.
Our parents and ancestors may not have shared the burdens or sins they carried, but those very struggles often manifest in the lives of we who are their descendants.
As a result, you can unknowingly inherit these curses, which can affect not only your life but the lives of your children and grandchildren. This generational bondage is often a hidden factor that many fail to recognize, causing people to wrongly blame God for their misfortunes.
If you engage in masturbation, it is important to understand that the consequences may extend beyond your own experience.
This pattern can repeat itself in future generations, leading to a perpetuation of sinful behaviours.
Additionally, spiritual afflictions, such as the presence of spiritual spouses or other forms of demonic oppression, may also arise as a result of this cycle.
These manifestations are often the hidden results of indulging in such sinful acts and need to be addressed with prayer, repentance, and deliverance.
Breaking free from such a stubborn pattern requires not only personal discipline but also a commitment to healing through God’s grace. Seeking deliverance, renouncing the sin, and praying for restoration are essential steps toward overcoming these generational strongholds and establishing freedom in Christ.
CHAPTER 5
THE SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL IMPACT OF MASTURBATION: UNDERSTANDING ITS DESTRUCTIVE FORCES
Masturbation is not merely a physical act; it is a powerful spiritual force that can deeply affect one's overall well-being.
According to John 10:10, the spirit behind masturbation is destructive, aiming to "steal, kill, and destroy."
Just as a thief enters a home, binds its inhabitants, and robs them, masturbation operates in a similar manner.
It spiritually binds you, robbing you of peace, joy, and happiness. Every time you engage in this act, you inadvertently surrender a piece of your happiness to demonic forces, allowing these spirits to thrive.
Spiritual Birth and Conflict
Masturbation leads to the birth of spiritual "children" — symbolic of demonic influences that continuously battle against the divine children given to us by God in the physical world.
These spirits create spiritual conflict, hindering individuals from fulfilling their God-given destiny.
The struggle becomes internal, as these forces continuously fight against the alignment of one's life with God's will.
Defiling the Body and Disconnecting from the Holy Spirit
1 Corinthians 3:16 clearly teaches that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Engaging in masturbation defiles this sacred temple, resulting in spiritual separation from the Holy Spirit.
Once this connection is severed, individuals become vulnerable to feelings of rejection and alienation from God's presence, further distancing themselves from their spiritual calling and purpose.
Physical and Marital Destruction
Masturbation does not only affect spiritual health but also has profound consequences on physical health and marital fulfilment.
In 1 Corinthians 7:3, spouses are called to fulfil each other's marital duties.
However, masturbation undermines this sacred bond, as it can diminish emotional and physical intimacy with one's spouse. In some cases, it can lead to sexual dysfunction, such as premature ejaculation, where mere thoughts can trigger a release before intimacy even begins.
The Spirit of Lust
Masturbation is often intertwined with the spirit of lust, a force that distorts human desires and reduces them to animalistic urges.
This spirit feeds on uncontrollable thoughts and fantasies, pulling individuals away from God's intended purpose for human intimacy.
Lust promotes a mindset that strips away the dignity and sacredness of sexual relationships, replacing them with selfish desires and unchecked impulses.
Stagnation and Blocked Blessings
Masturbation, alongside pornography and other forms of sexual immorality, acts as a barrier that causes spiritual stagnation.
It blocks personal and spiritual breakthroughs, leaving individuals trapped in a cycle of unfulfilled potential.
These acts create a spiritual roadblock, preventing the flow of God's blessings and growth in one's life.
Particularly when an individual is on the verge of a breakthrough, the enemy often uses these behaviours to close the door to prosperity.
This explains why many people, even within the church, struggle with stagnation—they are spiritually hindered by these acts.
Curses, Affliction, and torment
Masturbation opens the door for the enemy to bring curses, affliction, and torment into one's life. Romans 6:23 warns that "the wages of sin is death," not as a consequence from God, but as the natural result of the enemy gaining access through sin.
Masturbation becomes a gateway for these negative forces to torment one's life spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
Impediments to Marriage and Intimacy
Many individuals long for healthy, God-ordained marriages, yet their spiritual lives are obstructed by the consequences of masturbation.
The spiritual forces that drive this behaviour can lead to a diminished interest in intimacy, preventing marital relationships from thriving as they were designed to.
These spirits hinder the development of healthy emotional bonds, creating a disconnect that can stifle the flourishing of love and unity within a marriage.
Masturbation therefore is far more than a mere physical action; it is a spiritual force with the potential to undermine emotional health, hinder relationships, and block the blessings God has in store for an individual.
Recognizing and addressing this issue is crucial for spiritual growth, personal freedom, and the fulfilment of God's purpose in one's life.
By understanding the spiritual and emotional consequences of this behaviour, individuals can take the necessary steps toward healing, deliverance, and a deeper connection with God.
CHAPTER 6
SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT – THE REALITY OF SPIRITUAL SPOUSES
One of the most insidious and seldom-discussed forms of spiritual bondage is the activity of spirits known in ancient lore as incubus and succubus.
Though their names echo from the annals of folklore, their manifestations are chillingly real, transcending cultural boundaries and infiltrating the lives of both believers and non-believers alike.
These entities are not mere myth—they are spiritual spouses: demonic spirits that form unholy unions with human souls, sowing destruction through perversion, manipulation, and bondage.
Spiritual Spouses Unveiled
In spiritual warfare and deliverance circles, these entities are recognized as dark forces under Satan’s dominion. Incubus spirits—male by nature—target women, often manifesting in dreams to engage in perverse acts.
Their counterparts, succubus spirits, pursue men, seducing and binding them through spiritual intimacy.
These spirits are jealous, possessive, and relentless. Their goal is singular: to enslave through secret sin, delay destinies, and destroy God-ordained relationships.
While Scripture may not mention these entities by name, the biblical evidence of their nature and operations is undeniable.
Christ warned His disciples of unclean spirits (Matthew 10:1), and Paul listed sexual immorality among the works of the flesh that war against the spirit (Galatians 5:19).
Night-time attacks, shadowy encounters, and torment by unseen forces—Psalm 91:5-6 alludes to terrors that walk-in darkness, and arrows that fly by day.
Biblical Echoes of a Hidden War
The Scriptures hint at supernatural unions with humans in chilling clarity. Genesis 6:1-4 describes the "sons of God" taking the daughters of men, a controversial yet potent passage that suggests illicit intimacy between spiritual beings and humanity.
Jude 1:6-7 draws the connection further—linking fallen angels with unnatural acts. Leviticus 18 lays down the divine law, warning against sexual defilement in all its forms.
These spirits impersonate lovers in dreams. They seduce through lustful imaginations and sow soul-ties through unclean intimacy—whether in sleep or secret acts.
Many fall prey through masturbation, pornography, or fantasies, unaware that these actions can seal spiritual covenants with demonic entities.
Just as intimacy solidifies marriage in the physical realm, so too can sexual acts—real or imagined—bind individuals in spiritual marriages.

The Path to Deliverance
But there is hope. There is power. Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of darkness (1 John 3:8). His blood speaks louder than every curse, every covenant, and every demon that dares defile a child of God.
Acknowledge every act of sexual sin, especially those done in secrecy. Confess, repent, and allow the blood of Christ to wash over every part of your soul.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9
Break ties, both known and unknown. Speak with authority:
“I break every spiritual covenant formed through dreams, sexual sin, or ancestral pacts. I renounce every spiritual marriage in the name of Jesus.”
“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away… I will contend with him who contends with you.” — Isaiah 49:25
This is not a battle of flesh and blood. Wage war in the spirit—fast, pray, and invoke the power of the blood. Guard your dreams, sanctify your thoughts.
“The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4
Guard your heart. Guard your eyes. The path of freedom demands discipline. Fill yourself with the Word, remain accountable, and keep the door firmly shut to sin.
“Flee sexual immorality… your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 6:18-19

THE HIDDEN CONNECTION — MASTURBATION AS A FORM OF HOMOSEXUALITY
Unveiling the Spirit Behind the Act
In the modern church, there are subjects many pastors avoid. Masturbation is one of them.
It's rarely discussed in sermons, rarely addressed in counselling, and often ignored in youth ministries. Yet, this silent stronghold is destroying destinies, marriages, and spiritual identities—even within church walls.
The truth is this: masturbation is not neutral. It is a doorway. A spiritual gateway. And for many, it is not only tied to the spirit of lust, but also rooted in homosexual desire—because the act of arousing oneself often mimics same-sex attraction.
You become the object of your own lust. You are desiring yourself, not your God-ordained opposite.
This chapter may offend, challenge, or confront—but it’s time to expose what has been hidden for too long.
1. A Culture of Silence: When the Church Refuses to Speak
Too many Christian homes, churches, and leaders are silent on this issue. They preach against fornication and adultery, but they skip the topic of secret sin.
Masturbation is ignored because it is “private.” Because it doesn’t involve another person, many falsely assume it’s harmless.
But what’s done in the dark eventually shapes a person’s identity, mind, and spiritual reality.
In the deliverance ministry, I’ve encountered countless believers—prayer warriors, preachers, even worship leaders—secretly struggling with masturbation.
Some for decades. Many started in childhood. It becomes a hidden addiction, growing alongside spiritual gifts, leading to confusion, guilt, and inner torment.
And the deeper truth? Masturbation often awakens homosexual desires that were never there before.
2. My Encounter with Darkness: “You Are Opening Their Eyes”
One day, I experienced a chilling confrontation. During a period of intense prayer and fasting, I was spiritually attacked by an agent of Satan—someone operating under demonic influence.
This person, eyes blazing with demonic boldness, looked me in the eye and hissed: “You are opening people’s eyes.” We hate you.
That moment confirmed what I already knew in my spirit: the enemy hates truth. The devil doesn’t fear church attendance or religious noise—he fears revelation. He fears when people are set free from secret sin.
He fears when you break the chain of masturbation, because that chain is often the root of other chains: pornography, sexual confusion, same-sex desire, and spiritual stagnation.
Why did Satan send a messenger to threaten me? Because when you expose hidden demons, you break hidden covenants.
3. The Deeper Deception: Self-Lust and the Roots of Homosexual Desire
People often ask, “How is masturbation related to homosexuality if I’m straight?” The answer is spiritual: when you become aroused by your own body, your own touch, your own sexual performance, you’re crossing into self-lust, which mirrors the spirit of homosexuality—same-sex desire.
The body is sacred, designed for intimacy with the opposite sex under God’s covenant. But when you use your body to satisfy yourself, you subconsciously engage with a counterfeit version of sexuality—one that lacks union, love, and divine purpose. You train your flesh to respond to images, fantasies, and often, your own reflection. In spiritual terms, this is idolatry—worship of self.
Many who struggle with same-sex attraction don’t know where it began. In deliverance, we’ve seen it traced back not to outside influence but to years of masturbation, coupled with pornography, fantasy, and shame.
4. The Enemy’s Plan: From Private Sin to Identity Confusion
The devil is subtle. He doesn’t need to tempt you into full-blown rebellion overnight. He just needs you to keep the door slightly open. Masturbation is that door for many.
And once it's opened, it doesn’t close on its own.
It begins in secret. Then it escalates to fantasy. Then to porn. Then to exploring other sexual sins.
For some, the fantasies turn toward the same gender. For others, it becomes a full identity crisis.
Why? Because the enemy used the sin of self-gratification to shift your perception of sex, desire, and identity.
5. The Biblical Warning: Lust, Perversion, and Uncleanness
Scripture may not mention masturbation by name, but it speaks clearly about the spirit behind it.
Matthew 5:28 (NIV): “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
? This applies even more when the lust is aimed at yourself or same-sex imagery.
Romans 1:24-27 describes how people who rejected God were “given over to shameful lusts,” including same-sex acts.
? It all began with idolatry—worship of created things, including one’s own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, “Flee from sexual immorality… Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.”
? Masturbation is a desecration of that temple, often inviting unclean spirits to reside there.
6. The Path to Deliverance: Break the Chain, Close the Door
Deliverance begins with repentance and renunciation. You must reject the lie that masturbation is harmless.
You must renounce the spirit of lust, perversion, and homosexuality, even if you don’t act on same-sex desires outwardly.
Declare war on secret sin. Fast. Pray. Confess to a trusted spiritual leader. Break every legal right the enemy has gained through years of sexual sin—even in private.
Prayer for Deliverance
“Father, I repent for opening the door to the spirit of lust through masturbation. I renounce every unclean spirit—of perversion, homosexuality, and sexual bondage—that has gained access to my life. I close every door by the blood of Jesus.
Cleanse me, heal me, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. I break every demonic tie in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Conclusion: Exposing the Silent Killer
Masturbation is a spiritual disease infecting the Body of Christ in silence. Many leaders know it’s a problem—but say nothing. Many Christians are tormented—but feel alone. But the truth is coming to light.
You are not crazy. You are not weak. You are in a war.
And if you're reading this, it’s because God is exposing the chain that has held you—and He wants to break it today.
Masturbation is more than a habit. It is a weapon of the enemy to destroy your purity, your identity, and your destiny. But God is stronger.
CHAPTER 8: SPIRITUAL LEAKAGE – HOW MASTURBATION WEAKENS YOUR WALK WITH GOD
“Be holy, for I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:16
The Secret That Drains Power
Masturbation may be done in secret, but its effects are never private. It slowly drains a believer’s spiritual strength, confidence in prayer, and clarity of purpose.
Like a leaking vessel, the man who indulges in private sin becomes spiritually empty, even if outwardly he looks strong.
He may preach, sing, or serve—but deep down, he knows he’s spiritually dry. “The devil doesn’t mind you serving, as long as you’re leaking.”
In this chapter, we will uncover the spiritual cost of unrepented sexual sin, especially masturbation, and how to be restored.
1. The Presence of God Withdraws from Impurity
God is holy, and He dwells in clean vessels. Masturbation invites lust, fantasy, and unclean spirits—polluting the temple of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV): “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit...?” Every time you entertain masturbation, you grieve the Spirit who dwells within. Ephesians 4:30: “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God...”
2. Prayer Becomes Powerless and Condemned
One of the first signs of spiritual leakage is weakness in prayer. After masturbating, many feel dirty, ashamed, and unworthy to speak to God.
This guilt builds walls of distance between the man and God—not because God left, but because sin silences confidence.
1 John 3:21-22: “If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask...”
Masturbation steals your boldness. It dulls your hunger for the Word. It silences your worship. You begin to perform, not commune.
3. Spiritual Authority Is Undermined
When a man lives in secret sin, he may still speak with boldness—but he no longer walks in authority.
He may preach powerfully, but heaven is silent. Demons do not fear gifts—they fear holiness.
Acts 19:15: “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?” Authority comes from alignment. When sin breaks your alignment with God, your words lose their weight in the spirit.
4. Masturbation Opens Doors to Other Sins
Masturbation is not isolated. It is often the gateway to:
Each time you give in, you empower these doors to remain open—and your spiritual life continues to leak. “Sin always takes you farther than you wanted to go and keeps you longer than you intended to stay.”
5. The Anointing Leaks When the Flesh Leads
Anointing is costly oil. It flows in consecrated vessels. Masturbation defiles the vessel, causing the anointing to leak, not flow. Ecclesiastes 10:1: “Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment...” Just as dead flies spoil oil, so secret sin spoils spiritual aroma.
6. Restoration Is Possible—but Requires True Repentance
God’s mercy is greater than your weakness. But repentance must be sincere, not just emotional. Repentance means turning—confessing, renouncing, and replacing sin with righteous discipline.
Proverbs 28:13: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
God can restore your intimacy, your authority, and your calling—if you return to Him with your whole heart.
Testimony: “A Powerful Voice, But No Power” – Denis’s Story
Denis was a respected young preacher with a powerful gift. He could preach for hours, and people wept at his altar calls.
But in secret, he was battling with masturbation—falling every few days. Over time, he noticed something strange: his messages still moved people, but he himself felt dry inside.
He described it as: “Like I was pouring water into others while my own tank was empty.”
Eventually, he became deeply convicted. He confessed his sin, took time off to heal, and entered counseling and mentorship.
Months later, when he returned to preaching, he said: “For the first time in years, I felt like heaven was behind my words again.”
Denis learned this truth: Gifts without holiness become noise. But purity revives the presence.
Final Word
Masturbation doesn’t just affect your body—it affects your spirit. It dims your light, robs your joy, and leaks your spiritual authority.
But God is calling you back. Not to condemnation, but to consecration. If you give Him your weakness, He will give you, His strength.
2 Timothy 2:21 (NLT): “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honourable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.”
CHAPTER 9
YOU CAN’T CAST OUT WHAT YOU KEEP FEEDING — STARVE THE LUST, FEED THE SPIRIT
“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16
The Battle for Your Mind and Heart
Many believers struggle with the cycle of temptation, sin, repentance, and relapse—especially when it comes to masturbation and lust.
The truth is simple yet profound: You cannot cast out what you continue to feed. If you constantly feed your flesh with lustful thoughts, fantasies, or indulgence, no amount of prayer or spiritual warfare will permanently free you.
This chapter reveals why true victory comes through starving the lust and nourishing your spirit.
1. Feeding the Flesh: How Lust Grows Stronger
Lust is like a wild beast. It grows stronger every time you feed it—whether by dwelling on sexual thoughts, watching pornography, or engaging in masturbation.
Each act of indulgence strengthens the desire and trains your brain to crave more. Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV): “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Every thought you entertain is food for your spirit or your flesh. Lustful thoughts feed the lust, making it harder to resist next time. “Garbage in, garbage out.” If your mind is filled with lust, your actions will reflect it.
2. The Lie of ‘Just One More Time’
Many falls into the trap of thinking, “I’ll stop after this one,” or “I’m just relieving stress.” But feeding lust once is like pouring gasoline on a fire and expecting it to die out.
James 1:14-15 (NIV): “But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.” Every time you feed lust, you nurture a seed that grows into sin.
3. Feeding the Spirit: The Path to Freedom
If feeding lust strengthens it, feeding the Spirit weakens it. When you nourish your spirit daily—through prayer, worship, reading the Word, and fellowship—you grow stronger in your inner man.
The desires of the flesh lose their grip. Galatians 5:16: “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
The spiritual diet is vital: it changes your cravings from worldly lust to holy desire.
4. Practical Ways to Starve Lust and Feed the Spirit
a. Guard Your Mind
Avoid lustful images, conversations, and media. Take captive every thought (2 Corinthians 10:5).
b. Replace Lustful Thoughts
Meditate on Scriptures that remind you of God’s holiness, your identity in Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
c. Establish a Spirit-Focused Routine
Start and end each day with prayer and the Word. Sing worship songs that uplift your soul.
d. Engage in Fellowship and Accountability
Surround yourself with godly people who will encourage your spiritual growth.
e. Serve Others
Shift focus from self to service. Love others practically, which fills the heart and leaves no room for lust.
5. Starve the Flesh, Feed the Spirit—The Battle Is Won Daily
Victory over masturbation and lust is not a one-time event—it’s a daily decision. You starve the flesh by refusing to indulge, and you feed the spirit by immersing yourself in God’s presence.
Romans 8:13 (NLT): “If you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
6. Jesus Is the Living Water for Your Thirst
The cravings of the flesh will never satisfy. Only Jesus can fill the deep longing inside your heart. John 7:37-38: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.” When you feed on Christ daily, your appetite for sin diminishes and your hunger for holiness grows.
Testimony: “From Starvation to Satisfaction” – Jacob’s Story
Jacob struggled for years with masturbation.
He confessed, “Every time I tried to quit, I failed because I kept feeding the same old habits—secret thoughts, late-night temptations.” It wasn’t until he committed to a new spiritual diet—daily prayer, Scripture memorization, and accountability—that he found real freedom.
He says, “I learned that I couldn’t just fight lust with willpower. I had to starve it and feed my spirit instead.”
Final Word
Remember, the battle for purity is won or lost at the table of your mind and heart. What you feed grows—whether flesh or spirit. Choose wisely. Starve the lust. Feed the Spirit. Walk in freedom.
CHAPTER 10
YOU CAN’T WALK IN POWER WHILE BOWING TO THE FLESH
“So, I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16
A Divided Life Is a Powerless Life
Many believers long to walk in power—healing the sick, casting out demons, preaching with fire, and living in victory. But one thing blocks them: the flesh.
You cannot conquer in the Spirit what you keep surrendering to in the flesh. If you are bowing to lust in secret—through masturbation, pornography, or impure thoughts—you have already surrendered the ground where power should be built.
God does not anoint compromise. “You can’t live like Samson at night and expect to have Elijah’s fire in the morning.”
1. The Spirit and Flesh Are in Constant Conflict
The life of power requires that you live in constant submission to the Holy Spirit. But the flesh—your sinful desires—fights for control every day. When you feed the flesh, you silence the Spirit.
When you obey the Spirit, you crucify the flesh.
Galatians 5:17 (NIV): “For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.” You must choose daily which one you will obey—because only one will rule.
2. The Power of God Requires Purity of Life
God can use anyone, but He doesn’t empower just anyone. His power flows best through clean, consecrated vessels. If your heart is defiled, your hands may be lifted, but they are empty.
2 Timothy 2:21 (NLT): “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use... ready for the Master to use for every good work.” You can’t be plugged into the power of heaven while being tangled in the cords of the flesh.
3. Sin Undermines Your Spiritual Authority
Masturbation and other hidden sins weaken your confidence in prayer, kill your fire in worship, and shut down your boldness in ministry. Secret sin makes your voice tremble before demons, even when your words are loud.
Acts 19:15: “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” The spiritual world recognizes spiritual weight—and that weight comes from a crucified flesh. “The man who conquers his flesh in private will walk in power in public.”
4. Bowing to the Flesh Dims the Light of the Spirit
The more you bow to the flesh, the more your spiritual discernment dims. You begin to tolerate sin, twist Scripture to justify it, and lose sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Over time, your conscience becomes seared.
Romans 8:13 (NLT): “If you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.” You can’t shine while you’re shaded by secret sin.
5. Walking in Power Requires Daily Crucifixion
To walk in power, you must die daily. Luke 9:23: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Power doesn’t come through giftedness. It comes through death—death to lust, pride, selfishness, and compromise. Every act of masturbation is an altar to the flesh. But every act of discipline is an altar to God.
6. Jesus: The Model of Power and Purity
Jesus walked in the greatest power ever seen—raising the dead, healing the sick, casting out demons. But He also walked in the deepest purity. John 14:30 (KJV): “...the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
There was no agreement between Jesus and Satan—no foothold, no sin, no secret desire. That’s why He walked in power. Purity is your shield in battle, your authority in prayer, and your power in ministry.
Testimony: “The Power Left with My Purity” – Samuel’s Story
Samuel was a young evangelist who saw signs and wonders in his early ministry. But after falling into a habit of masturbation, he began noticing something terrifying: the miracles stopped.
His sermons became empty. His altar calls had no response.
He said: “It was as if heaven went quiet. I was preaching the same, but power had left the room.”
One day, he broke before God, repented with tears, and began rebuilding a lifestyle of fasting, purity, and accountability. Months later, while preaching at a crusade, a demon manifested—and this time, it obeyed.
Samuel wept as he said: “The anointing didn’t leave because I lacked words—it left because I lacked holiness.”
Closing Prayer
“Lord Jesus, I repent for every way I’ve bowed to the flesh and forfeited Your power. I want to walk in Your authority, not live as a slave to secret sin. Crucify every lustful desire in me.
Purify my heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me live in step with the Spirit every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Final Word
Power is not reserved for the perfect—it’s reserved for the pure. If you want to cast out demons, walk in miracles, and pray with heaven’s authority, you must first conquer the war in your flesh. Stop bowing to sin. Start walking in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25: “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
CHAPTER 11
THE LYING RELIEF OF LUST – WHEN PLEASURE TURNS TO GUILT
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” – Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)
A Counterfeit Comfort
Masturbation whispers false promises: “This will relax you. This will help you sleep. This will make you feel hi.” It presents itself as relief from stress, loneliness, or sexual frustration.
But after the act is done, what follows is not peace—but guilt, shame, and spiritual heaviness. The enemy offers the bait of pleasure, but hides the hook of condemnation.
“Sin will thrill you, then kill you. It will fascinate you, then assassinate you.”
1. The Trap of Temporary Relief
The flesh craves comfort. And in a world full of pressure—spiritual, emotional, and physical—many turns to masturbation for momentary release.
But the comfort it gives is short-lived. The pleasure fades in minutes, but the guilt can last for days.
Hebrews 11:25: “...choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.” Lust offers pleasure, but it is passing. The relief is a mirage. Once it's over, the desert of guilt returns.
2. Guilt: The Soul’s Alarm Bell
After the act, many feel dirty, disconnected, and spiritually defeated. That guilt is not meant to destroy you—it’s a signal from your conscience that you’ve stepped out of alignment with God’s will.
2 Corinthians 7:10 (NIV): “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”
There are two responses to guilt:
Run to God in repentance (like David)
Run from God in shame (like Adam)
3. The Sin–Shame–Silence Cycle
Masturbation often leads to a dangerous cycle:
1. Sin – You fall into temptation.
2. Shame – You feel unworthy, dirty, and distant from God.
3. Silence – You stop praying, stop reading the Word, and isolate yourself.
This is exactly what the devil wants: to silence your spiritual life by trapping you in guilt. Isaiah 59:2: “But your iniquities have separated you from your God...” Sin separates. Guilt isolates. But grace restores.
4. God’s Mercy Is Greater Than Your Guilt
If you’ve fallen into masturbation—even repeatedly—there is hope. Jesus didn’t die to make you religious; He died to make you free. He doesn’t condemn those who come to Him with sincere hearts.
1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God’s forgiveness isn’t weak—it’s complete. And His love doesn’t leave you in the pit—it pulls you out.
5. Replace the Lie with Truth
Masturbation says: “You need this.” God says: “My grace is sufficient for you.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Masturbation says: “You can’t resist.” God says: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man... and He will provide a way of escape.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13
The more you renew your mind with truth, the less appealing the lie becomes.
Testimony: “I Felt Worse After Than Before” – Martin’s Story
Martin struggled with stress during exams. One night, he gave in to masturbation, thinking it would help him focus better.
“It felt good for a few minutes,” he said, “but right after, I felt this spiritual weight—like I had grieved the Holy Spirit.”
That night, Martin couldn’t pray. He skipped morning devotion. He avoided worship practice. But the guilt finally drove him to repentance. “I realized that the relief I was seeking could only come from God, not my flesh.”
Today, Martin testifies of the lasting peace that comes from purity.
Final Word
Masturbation may promise relief—but it delivers regret. Only God can truly satisfy your soul. Don’t fall for the temporary escape. Seek the eternal peace that only comes through holiness and surrender.
Psalm 16:11 (NKJV): “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Chapter 12
Masturbation: A Private Battle with Public Consequences
Masturbation may feel like a private struggle hidden behind closed doors, but its effects are far-reaching—spilling over into your public and spiritual life.
The secret sin weakens your ability to minister, pray with authority, and stand firm in public faith.
Hebrews 12:1 (NIV): “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us...”
Imagine running a race with a weight tied to your ankle. That weight is secret sin. It slows you down, saps your strength, and diminishes your impact.
The Spiritual Fog in Public Ministry
When a man indulges in masturbation, guilt and shame often follow, even unconsciously.
This spiritual fog clouds his prayer life, dulls his hearing of God’s voice, and weakens his anointing. It creates a disconnect between who he is in private and who he tries to be in public.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 (NLT): “...some vessels for honorable use... but some for dishonorable use... If a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor...” If the vessel is defiled privately, it cannot fully carry God’s glory publicly.
The Danger of Double Living
Secret sin creates a double life—one for God’s people, and one behind closed doors. This kind of hypocrisy is dangerous because it:
Dulls conscience
Invites hypocrisy
Harms testimony
Opens doors for the enemy to accuse and condemn
James 1:22: “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Integrity is key to spiritual influence.
Holiness Connects Private and Public Life
God calls His servants to holiness, not just in public ministry but in private living. When you honor God in secret, your public life shines brighter. When you feed lust in private, your spiritual public life suffers.
Psalm 51:10 (NIV): “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” True freedom begins behind closed doors and shines in the open.
CHAPTER 13
SPIRITUAL INTERCOURSE – THE COST OF SECRET EJACULATION
“Give not your strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroys kings.” – Proverbs 31:3 (KJV)
“For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread...” – Proverbs 6:26
When Pleasure Becomes a Transaction
Every act of masturbation is not just a physical release—it is a spiritual exchange. What many believe to be “just my body” expressing natural desire is often a covenant act in the spirit realm, where unclean spirits receive offerings of life, destiny, and power.
Masturbation accompanied by lustful imagination or pornography is spiritual intercourse with invisible partners. What you release physically is tied to what you lose spiritually. “What feels like pleasure on earth can be a payment in the spirit.”
1. Seed Is Spiritual Currency
The male seed (sperm) is not just biological—it is spiritual and prophetic. It carries:
When God created man, He placed His creative power in man’s seed. That’s why the enemy fights to collect it through immorality, pornography, and masturbation.
Leviticus 15:16: “When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body... and he will be unclean...”
Even in the Old Testament, ejaculation was not treated lightly—it had spiritual implications of uncleanness. What more when it happens outside of covenant and toward imagined or demonic partners?
2. Masturbation as Spiritual Impregnation
Each time you masturbate under lust, fantasy, or pornography, you are spiritually releasing into a demonic womb. This sounds strange—but Scripture supports the reality of spiritual intercourse and soul ties:
1 Corinthians 6:16: “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?”
Matthew 5:28: “Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Though the body is alone, the soul is joined. And in the spirit realm, demons receive your seed—not to give life, but to birth destruction. Demons give birth to bondage, poverty, shame, and delay.
You “impregnate” a spirit, and in return, it gives birth to:
3. You’re Paying Spiritual Dowry Without Knowing It
“And the wealth of sinners is laid up for the righteous.” – Proverbs 13:22 (but many righteous lose theirs through spiritual ignorance). In the spirit realm, every union involves exchange.
When a man joins sexually (physically or spiritually), he:
Gives strength
Gives virtue
Transfers spiritual inheritance
This is why many people who regularly masturbate:
Struggle financially
Lose favor in relationships
Feel drained or confused
Experience setbacks right after the act
You may think, “I just watched a video and did it in secret,” but in the spirit, you made a transaction.
You sent out a seed and demons collected it. In return, they took something valuable from you—your energy, your money, your peace, your progress.
Judges 16:19: “Delilah lulled Samson to sleep... and she called for a man to shave off the seven locks of his head.
Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him.”
That’s what happens when a man masturbates to lust—it feels like sleep, but something is being shaved off. Something is being lost.
4. Spiritual Wives and Husbands Feed on Ejaculation
In deliverance ministry, many encounters spiritual spouses (incubus and succubus spirits). These demons:
Appear in dreams
Cause sleep paralysis
Trigger arousal at night
Block real marriage or intimacy
Demand sexual attention
Masturbation is one of their feeding times. They provoke the desire and then consume the release. It becomes a sacrifice to them. Each time you yield to this, you are renewing the covenant.
5. Ejaculating Destiny into Darkness
Many destinies have been poured into the grave through lust. What could have become a prophet, a leader, a financier of the Kingdom is wasted on:
Blue movies
Erotic imagination
Pornographic images
The enemy rejoices when you waste what God gave for purpose. “Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock!” – Zechariah 11:17. Some people are shepherds of greatness but have deserted their calling through secret sin.
The First Step to Deliverance – Knowing the Person of Truth
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:31–32
Deliverance doesn’t begin with shouting or rituals—it begins with revelation. The first step out of any bondage, including masturbation, is knowing that God does not benefit from your bondage, and that freedom comes through a Person, not just a process.
1. God Gets No Glory from Bondage
Many believers have unknowingly believed the lie that God allows certain sins to “keep them humble,” or that they can never be truly free. This is a satanic deception. God is not glorified when you are trapped in addiction—He is glorified when you walk in freedom. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…” — Galatians 5:1 (NIV). God wants His children free—not just forgiven, but delivered.
2. Bondage Begins with a Lie—Deliverance Begins with Truth. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
This means:
Bondage is not just about bad behavior—it’s about believing lies.
Deliverance is not just about casting out demons—it’s about receiving truth.
“Sanctify them by your truth; Your word is truth.”— John 17:17. To break the power of masturbation, the mind must be renewed with truth.
The truth is:
Masturbation is not just a habit—it is a spiritual prison.
You are not powerless—you have access to the Truth, who is a Person.
3. Truth Is a Person – Jesus the Deliverer
“I am the way, the truth, and the life...”— John 14:6. Jesus did not just bring truth—He is the Truth. You don’t just need information. You need a relationship with the Person of Truth.
When you encounter Jesus as Truth, you begin to:
See your sin for what it really is (a demon, not a weakness).
Understand that God desires your total freedom.
Embrace the power of grace, not just guilt.
4. He Knows Your Struggle—But Still Calls You Out
In John 8, the religious Jews claimed to be free, but Jesus exposed their hidden bondage.
Many today say, “I’m saved. I’m okay.” But you can be saved and still enslaved in secret sin. “They answered Him, ‘We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been in bondage to anyone.’” — John 8:33
Jesus replied, “Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”
This means:
Masturbation enslaves.
Deliverance starts when you stop defending your chains and start pursuing the truth.
5. Knowing Truth Requires Obedience, Not Just Belief
“If you continue in My word, then you are My disciples…” — John 8:31
Deliverance is not for spectators, but disciples. You cannot be set free by truth that you ignore.
You must:
Continue in His Word.
Walk in obedience.
Choose truth over pleasure.
Let Truth correct, heal, and transform you.
6. Truth Brings Identity and Authority
When you know Jesus as the Truth:
You stop identifying yourself by your addiction.
You begin to walk in the authority of a child of God, not a slave of lust.
You understand that masturbation is a lie from Satan, offering false comfort but producing real bondage.
7. The Devil Is the Father of Lies
“When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” — John 8:44 (NIV)
Every time you yield to masturbation, a lie is at work:
“It’s harmless.”
“I’ll stop next time.”
“At least I’m not sleeping with someone.”
“God understands.”
The Truth says:
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
You are not your own—you were bought with a price.
You can walk in purity and self-control.
8. Step One Summary: Know the Truth, Know the Person
Deliverance is not a step-by-step manual—it is a revelation of a Person.
When you know Jesus as Truth, you know:
What is right.
What is real.
Who you are.
And how to walk free. Jesus doesn’t expose your bondage to shame you—He exposes it to deliver you.
Finaly
I reject the lie that I must live with this secret sin.
I embrace the truth that Jesus is the Deliverer.
I am not powerless. I am not worthless.
I am known, loved, and called to be free.
The Truth lives in me. And the Truth shall make me free.”
6. How to Break the Transaction
You must treat this not just as a habit, but as a spiritual covenant that needs breaking.
Steps to Freedom:
1. Repent deeply – Not just for the act, but for every spiritual transaction you made.
2. Renounce the covenant – Say aloud: “I break every spiritual covenant made through masturbation and lust. I reclaim my virtue and seed by the blood of Jesus.”
3. Fast and pray – Fasting weakens the flesh and brings deliverance.
4. Break soul ties and spiritual marriages – With prayer and possibly deliverance ministry.
5. Walk in discipline – Fill your soul with worship, the Word, and community.
Testimony: “Each Time I Ejaculated, I Dreamed of Losing Money” – Samuel’s Story
Samuel, a young businessman, noticed that every time he masturbated, he would later dream of money disappearing, or wallets being stolen. He ignored it for months—until his business collapsed.
Through deliverance, it was revealed that he had spiritual spouses who “collected” from him each time he released. “I thought I was just wasting time. I was wasting my destiny.”
Today, Samuel lives in purity and is rebuilding his life—with power, purpose, and provision.
Final Word
Every time you masturbate under lust, you’re not just wasting time—you may be fertilizing demons with your destiny.
But God is calling you out of the darkness into a holy covenant, where your strength is restored, your seed is redeemed, and your future is secured in Christ.
Proverbs 5:8–10: “Keep your way far from her… lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner.”
Chapter 14
Guilt, Shame, and the Cycle of Defeat
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1 (ESV)
The War After the Fall
For many struggling with masturbation and pornography, the greatest torment doesn’t come before the act—it comes after.
It's not the temptation that crushes them, but the guilt, the shame, and the overwhelming sense of failure that follows.
“God can’t use me anymore.”
“I’ve messed up too many times.”
“I’ll never break free.”
“I’m a hypocrite.”
These thoughts become a trap, not just to the body, but to the soul. And behind them all is the voice of the accuser—Satan.
Revelation 12:10: “For the accuser of our brothers and sisters... who accuses them before our God Day and night...”
Guilt is not just a feeling. Shame is not just an emotion. They are spiritual weapons of bondage, and they keep many believers in a cycle of defeat.
1. The Devil’s Strategy: Sin – Guilt – Shame – Repeat
Satan is both the tempter and the accuser. He first whispers:
“Just this once.”
“God will forgive you.”
“You’re already tempted, might as well do it.”
But once the act is done, he changes his voice:
“You’re disgusting.”
“God is done with you.”
“You can’t lead or preach again.”
“He baits you to fall, then beats you for falling.”
This is not conviction. It is condemnation. And it keeps you running from God instead of to God.
2. The Difference Between Guilt and Godly Conviction
There’s a difference between the voice of the Holy Spirit and the voice of the accuser.
God Convicts Satan leads to Guilt & Shame
God Leads you to repentance satan Drives you to isolation
God Reminds you of God's love satan Reminds you of your failures
God Lifts you up satan Pushes you down
God Says “You sinned—come home” satan Says “You’re a sinner—stay away”
God offers restoration satan offers rejection
2 Corinthians 7:10: “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”
3. How Shame Fuels the Cycle of Defeat
Here’s how shame keeps you trapped:
1. You sin (masturbation, porn, etc.).
2. You feel dirty and unworthy to pray or worship.
3. You avoid God and spiritual things.
4. Your heart grows cold.
5. You fall again due to spiritual weakness.
6. The shame increases.
7. Repeat.
This cycle leads to spiritual burnout, emotional numbness, and secret backsliding—even while attending church or serving in ministry.
4. Adam’s Mistake: Hiding from God
Genesis 3:10: “I was afraid because I was naked; so, I hid.” After sinning, Adam and Eve felt shame—and instead of running to their Father, they ran from Him. That’s what shame does—it isolates you from the One who can heal you.
But God came searching: “Adam, where are you?” Not because He didn’t know—but because He wanted Adam to come out of hiding.
Today, God is calling His children: “Where are you? I still love you. Come out of shame.”
5. The Cross Cancels Condemnation
Colossians 2:14: “Having cancelled the record of the charges against us... He took it away, nailing it to the cross.”
You don’t have to live under guilt forever. The cross of Jesus:
Cleanses you completely
Covers every sin—past, present, future
Calls you righteous by faith
Masturbation may leave you feeling filthy, but the blood of Jesus still speaks. No stain is too deep for the Lamb of God.
6. Breaking the Cycle Through Grace and Discipline
?? Step 1: Confess Quickly
Don’t wait. Run to God the moment you fall. Don’t give shame a home.
?? Step 2: Receive Forgiveness by Faith
Even when your feelings say otherwise, trust God's promise:
1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive...”
?? Step 3: Stay in God’s Presence
The devil will try to drive you from prayer, worship, and the Word. Resist him. Stay near to Jesus even after failure.
?? Step 4: Build Accountability
Don’t walk alone. Confess to a mentor or spiritual leader. Let someone walk with you through the healing process.
?? Step 5: Memorize Scriptures of Identity and Grace
Remind yourself daily: “I am forgiven, I am redeemed, I am righteous in Christ.”
Testimony: “Shame Kept Me from the Altar” – Lydia’s Story
Lydia loved Jesus, but struggled with masturbation secretly. After each fall, she would cry and skip prayer, worship, or Bible reading for days. “I didn’t feel worthy. I thought God had stopped listening to me.” But one Sunday, her pastor preached Romans 8:1, and she heard these words in her spirit:
“My love is greater than your failure.”
That day marked a turning point. She began replacing shame with grace, guilt with worship, and isolation with accountability. “Now, when I fall, I run to Him, not from Him.”
Prayer:
“Father, I confess the shame and guilt I’ve carried for too long. I receive Your forgiveness and grace. I reject the lies of the enemy and embrace the truth of the cross.
I will no longer hide in shame—I run into Your arms. Thank You for loving me even when I fall. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Final Word
Guilt is a prison, and shame is its guard. But Jesus came to unlock the door and set you free. You are not defined by your worst moment—you are defined by His sacrifice and your surrender.
Romans 5:20: “Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.”
CHAPTER 15
WHEN THE BED IS EMPTY – THE TRAP AFTER THE BREAKUP
“The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matthew 26:41 (KJV)
The Silent Struggle After Separation
When a man walks away from a relationship, especially one involving emotional or physical intimacy, he often finds himself entangled in a silent battle—a battle against lust, memory, and the pull of masturbation.
This chapter confronts the truth that many men face: the temptation to masturbate intensifies after a breakup, filling the void once occupied by a person, a rhythm, or a fantasy.
1. Breakups Birth Emotional Vacuums
Every relationship creates a rhythm. You become used to the conversations, physical affection, and emotional connection.
When a breakup happens, this rhythm is suddenly interrupted, leaving a painful silence. For many, masturbation creeps in as a false comforter—a temporary solution for a deeper emotional wound.
Proverbs 27:7 (NIV): “One who is full loathes honey from the comb, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.”
In emotional hunger, even destructive behaviors can appear sweet. “An idle mind becomes a devil’s workshop; a broken heart becomes his bedroom.”
2. The Body Remembers What the Soul Should Forget
Sexual intimacy creates a memory in the flesh and soul. The body remembers the sensations, the mind replays the moments, and the heart misses the connection. This can lead to sexual flashbacks that spark arousal. Without the discipline of a renewed mind, a man may fall into masturbation as a substitute for what he once had.
Romans 12:2 (ESV): “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind...” The enemy doesn’t always tempt you with new sin—sometimes he just reminds you of old pleasure.
3. Lack of Discipleship and Spiritual Accountability
Many Christian men fall deeper into masturbation after a breakup because they lack strong discipleship and accountability. Instead of sitting at the feet of Jesus, they isolate themselves.
Instead of being filled with the Word, they feed on fantasies.
Hebrews 10:25: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together... but exhorting one another.”
When a man is not being discipled, he becomes undisciplined. And where there is no covering, there is exposure.
4. Soul Ties and Sexual Hangovers
Even after a breakup, many men feel mentally and spiritually connected to their exes. This is the mystery of soul ties. These ties allow past emotions and experiences to linger.
Masturbation then becomes a way of reliving what was once shared.
1 Corinthians 6:16-18 (NIV): “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?... Flee from sexual immorality.” You may have broken up, but your soul didn’t get the memo. “You can delete her number from your phone, but until she’s deleted from your soul, you’re still bound.”
5. Satan Exploits the Emotional Fallout
Satan is a strategist. He often waits for a man to be wounded before launching his strongest temptations. A broken relationship opens the door to guilt, shame, and lust.
Masturbation becomes a foothold the enemy uses to keep men spiritually bound.
Ephesians 4:27 (NIV): “...do not give the devil a foothold.” Just like a lion hunts wounded animals, Satan hunts wounded hearts.
6. Breaking the Pattern: Healing and Rebuilding
a. Repentance and Confession
Acknowledge masturbation as sin, not just a bad habit. God doesn’t condemn you, but He can’t heal what you hide.
1 John 1:9 (KJV): “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us...”
b. Cut the Ties
Pray to break any soul ties. Renounce the spiritual and emotional bond with the person you left behind.
c. Renew the Mind
Replace erotic memories with Scripture and truth. Let the Word clean the soul and silence the flesh.
Psalm 119:9: “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.”
d. Enter Discipleship
Surround yourself with godly men, mentors, and spiritual fathers who will hold you accountable. “A lone soldier is the first to fall on the battlefield.”
e. Redeem Your Focus
The devil thrives on idle hands. Get busy with purpose, calling, and Kingdom work. Where your purpose grows, your lust dies.
7. Jesus Heals, Not Just Forgives
Jesus doesn’t just forgive your sins—He transforms your desires. If you’re willing, He will take you from shame to purity, from fantasy to freedom. Your past relationship doesn’t have to define your future character. John 8:36 (NIV): “So if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Real-Life Testimony: From Bondage to Breakthrough – David’s Story
I once counselled a young man named David, a worship leader in his mid-twenties who was deeply committed to serving in church.
He had been in a serious relationship with a fellow believer, and though they tried to remain pure, they crossed boundaries emotionally and physically. When the relationship ended, David was shattered—not just emotionally but spiritually.
He began isolating himself from fellowship. He stopped leading worship and gradually stopped attending midweek services.
In the silence of his room, guilt and loneliness became loud. He found himself constantly thinking about his ex—her voice, her body, their moments together.
The images haunted him. Soon, what started as flashbacks turned into frequent masturbation.
David said, “It wasn’t about lust anymore. It was about missing her, and I didn’t know how to cope.”
He wept as he confessed how he tried praying but felt too dirty, too broken. The shame pulled him deeper into secrecy. But by God’s grace, David reached out for help.
Through a period of pastoral counseling, fasting, and deliverance prayers, David began to experience healing.
He renounced the soul tie with his ex, repented sincerely, and allowed God to renew his mind through daily Scripture reading and worship.
Today, David is restored—not only as a worship leader, but as a testimony of God's power to break hidden chains.
His words still echo in my heart: “I thought I was addicted to my ex, but I was actually starving for God's love and didn’t know it.”
Testimony Reflection:
Many men, like David, fall into masturbation not because they are immoral, but because they are broken. They’re trying to medicate a soul wound. But there is a Healer whose touch goes deeper than any temptation: Jesus Christ.
CHAPTER 16
LONELINESS IS NOT A LICENSE – FIGHTING LUST IN ISOLATION
“It is not good for the man to be alone.” – Genesis 2:18
The Dangerous Silence
Loneliness is one of Satan’s oldest tools against mankind. From the Garden of Eden to the wilderness temptations of Jesus, the enemy often waits until a person is alone to launch his deadliest attacks.
In the lives of many men, especially after breakups or during seasons of isolation, masturbation sneaks in as a false companion—an emotional and spiritual trap disguised as comfort.
But God did not create man to handle isolation in the flesh. He created man to walk in communion—with Him and with others. In this chapter, we will uncover the link between loneliness and lust, and how to break free.
1. The Hidden Pit of Loneliness
Loneliness is not just the absence of people. It is the absence of purpose, presence, and intimacy with God. When these are lacking, a man becomes emotionally vulnerable.
That’s when lust knocks, offering the illusion of love and connection through pornography or masturbation.
Proverbs 18:1 (NKJV): “A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; he rages against all wise judgment.” The loneliest place on earth is not a prison—it’s a heart without purpose.
2. Lust Loves Isolation
Lust grows in the dark. It thrives in secrecy. It whispers when no one else is around. That’s why Satan fights so hard to isolate believers—from fellowship, church, spiritual mentors, and godly community.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: “Two are better than one... If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” A man who fights lust alone is like a soldier entering battle without armor.
3. Your Body Is Wired for Connection—Not Addiction
God created physical desire to be fulfilled in marriage, not in fantasy. Masturbation is a shortcut—gratifying a godly desire in an ungodly way. But shortcuts always lead to deeper pits.
The brain becomes conditioned to expect arousal through images, imagination, or quick fixes, not covenant or connection.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (NIV): “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body...” Lust turns the body into a battlefield. But God wants it to be a temple.
4. Jesus Faced Isolation—and Overcame
In Matthew 4, Jesus was led into the wilderness—completely alone. Satan came to tempt Him, just like he comes to you. But Jesus didn't fall. Why? He didn’t fight with emotion.
He fought with Scripture and identity.
Matthew 4:4: “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” When you're alone, what you feed on determines what you become.
5. Practical Strategies for Lonely Seasons
a. Build a Spiritual Routine
Make loneliness a season of intimacy with God, not lust. Fast, pray, study the Word, and journal.
b. Stay in Fellowship
Don’t disappear from church, small group, or mentorship. Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
c. Get Busy with Purpose
Serve others. Volunteer. Start a project. Lust feeds on idleness.
d. Guard Your Eyes and Ears
Social media, movies, music, and ungodly conversations can open doors to lust.
e. Speak to Your Soul
Declare truth over your emotions. Don't believe every lonely thought—fight back with the Word.
Testimony: Elijah’s Cave Was Temporary
In 1 Kings 19, Elijah ran into a cave and asked God to let him die. He was isolated, depressed, and spiritually drained. But God didn’t leave him there. He sent an angel to strengthen him, gave him direction, and reminded him he wasn’t alone. Loneliness is not a life sentence—it’s a season. And God walks with you through it.
Final Word
Loneliness is real—but it is not permission to fall. It is a holy invitation to walk deeper with God. When you embrace isolation as a time of divine preparation, the enemy loses his grip, and you emerge stronger than ever.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
Testimony: “Locked in My Room, Losing Myself” – Brian’s Story
Brian was a 21-year-old Bible school student with great passion for ministry. After his first romantic breakup, he fell into a long season of isolation. He stopped talking to friends, avoided church activities, and stayed in his room for hours on end.
What started as emotional pain turned into spiritual withdrawal—and soon, sexual bondage.
He confessed that during those quiet, lonely nights, he began masturbating just to feel something again. “I told myself it was just a phase,” Brian said. “But it became a pattern.
I used to pray and fast, but now I was just trying to make it to the next night without falling.”
Eventually, Brian reached a point of spiritual numbness. He felt ashamed to serve, guilty before God, and unworthy to even pray. But one day, during a youth fellowship, the preacher spoke directly to his pain: “Your loneliness is the enemy’s bait—don’t swallow it.”
That message broke something in Brian. He cried out to God in repentance, reached out to his mentor, and slowly re-entered fellowship.
He began serving again, joined a purity accountability group, and filled his days with purpose instead of pity.
Today, Brian helps lead purity sessions for young men and boldly shares his story, saying: “I was most vulnerable when I was alone. But I found that Jesus was right there in my cave, waiting to lead me out.”
Testimony Reflection
Brian’s story reminds us that loneliness does not give you permission to sin. It gives you an opportunity to grow deeper in God, if you respond well. The devil uses isolation to weaken you, but God uses it to refine you.
Psalm 68:6 (NKJV): “God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity.”
CHAPTER 17: LUST VS. LOVE – THE ROOT BEHIND THE HABIT
“Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.” – James 1:14–15 (NIV)
Two Similar Faces, One Real, One Deceptive
Lust and love often look alike on the surface—they both involve desire, attraction, and longing. But they could not be more different at the root.
Love is patient. Lust is impatient.
Love gives. Lust takes.
Love builds intimacy. Lust builds isolation.
Love honors. Lust devours.
The habit of masturbation is not just a physical issue—it is rooted in a distorted form of desire: lust.
1. Lust Is Selfish, Love Is Selfless
1 Corinthians 13:5: “Love... is not self-seeking.”
Lust is always about self—what I want, when I want it. It does not wait for covenant. It does not respect boundaries. It takes pleasure from others—real or imagined—without the responsibility of love. Love, on the other hand, waits, honors, protects, and gives.
Masturbation is often driven by lustful imagination—fantasies that remove the responsibility of real relationship. It teaches the heart to take without giving, to receive without covenant, and to enjoy without commitment.
2. Lust Lives in Fantasy—Love Lives in Reality
Masturbation thrives in imagination—images, memories, or digital content. It trains the mind to be stimulated by what is not real. This creates unrealistic expectations and emotional disconnection from real people.
2 Peter 2:14: “They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin...”
Love, however, is rooted in real relationship. It requires communication, sacrifice, patience, and respect. Lust avoids all of that and escapes into a private, fake world. “Lust gives you the illusion of control. Love teaches you the strength of surrender.”
3. Lust Destroys God's Design for Sexuality
God created sex as a holy and joyful act—within the covenant of marriage. Lust takes what God made beautiful and twists it into something selfish and sinful.
Hebrews 13:4: “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.”
Masturbation teaches the body and mind to experience sexual pleasure detached from love, covenant, and purpose. This rewires your brain for lust rather than for intimacy.
4. Lust Is Quick to Gratify, Love Is Willing to Wait
Galatians 5:16: “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
Lust says: “Why wait? You deserve this now.”
Love says: “True joy is found in God's timing.”
The habit of masturbation is often built on immediate gratification. But God’s design for love includes discipline, patience, and joy that lasts.
Proverbs 25:28: “Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” Self-control is not just a fruit of the Spirit—it is a wall that protects your purity.
5. Lust Leaves You Empty—Love Fills You Up
The promise of pleasure in lust is short-lived. After masturbation, many feel guilt, numbness, and loneliness. Why? Because the act was rooted in desire without relationship, stimulation without fulfillment.
Ecclesiastes 2:10–11: “I denied myself nothing my eyes desired... Yet when I surveyed all that, my hands had done, everything was meaningless...”
Love, by contrast, leaves a person whole, satisfied, and emotionally filled—because it is grounded in truth, trust, and connection.
Testimony: “I Confused My Craving for Love” – Elijah’s Story
Elijah grew up in a fatherless home, starved for affection. As a teen, he turned to masturbation and pornography, thinking he was simply managing his urges. But over time, he realized:
“I wasn’t really after pleasure—I was craving love. I wanted to be seen, known, and wanted. Lust gave me a shortcut, but it left me emptier each time.”
It wasn’t until Elijah encountered the father’s love and received deep emotional healing through prayer and discipleship that his struggle broke. “When I finally received God’s love, lust lost its power.”
6. Only God's Love Can Heal Lust
1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear...”
Lust is fuelled by fear: fear of rejection, fear of loneliness, fear of never being loved. But when you receive God’s perfect love, fear is cast out—and so is lust.
God wants to rewire your heart: not to crave the fake fire of lust, but to burn with holy love that honors Him and others.
Final Word
Masturbation is not just a physical issue—it is a heart issue rooted in lust. But where lust fails, love prevails. God is not just calling you to stop the act—He’s calling you to be transformed by His love, from the inside out.
Ephesians 5:2: “And Walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us...”
CHAPTER 18
THE PORNOGRAPHY TRAP – WHEN LUST IS SCHEDULED TO DESTROY YOU
“Do not give the devil a foothold.” – Ephesians 4:27 (NIV)
“For we are not ignorant of his devices.” – 2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
A Hidden Strategy of Hell
The combination of pornography and masturbation is not accidental—it’s a spiritual trap, carefully set by the enemy to destroy destinies, steal anointing, and imprison many believers in silent guilt.
One of the devil’s most subtle yet deadly strategies is timing.
It’s not a coincidence that pornographic content—especially “blue movies”—is often aired around midnight.
Why? Because darkness thrives in darkness. Midnight is a spiritual gate, and the enemy uses it to program sin, sow bondage, and enslave the soul.
1. Porn and Masturbation: A Demonic Cycle
Porn is the visual bait. Masturbation is the response. Together, they form an addictive loop:
1. Temptation enters through the eyes.
2. Lust is awakened and fantasy begins.
3. Masturbation satisfies the urge.
4. Guilt follows.
5. Shame silences the believer.
6. Temptation returns—and the cycle repeats.
James 1:14–15: “Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin…” This loop doesn’t just steal purity—it destroys confidence, boldness, and intimacy with God.
2. Why Blue Movies Air at Midnight: The Spirit Behind the Schedule
Pornographic movies are often scheduled after midnight for spiritual reasons—not just marketing:
Midnight Is a Gate of Transition
It is a spiritual crossover from one day to the next.
Demons are most active during the "third and fourth watch" (midnight to 3 AM).
It is the time God's children should be praying, but instead many are watching sexual content.
Psalm 119:62: “At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You…”
Job 34:20: “In a moment they die; at midnight…”
Just as God moves in the midnight hour, the enemy counterfeits by planting lust, addiction, and bondage at that same hour.
Midnight Is When the Soul Is Most Vulnerable
Most people are tired, alone, and in bed.
The body is relaxed, and the mind is open to suggestions.
The absence of noise and distraction gives Satan undivided attention.
It’s not entertainment—it’s enchantment.
Proverbs 7:9-10: “In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night. And there a woman met him…” This woman in Proverbs 7 represents the spirit of seduction—and she always works at night.
3. Porn Rewires the Brain; Masturbation Reinforces the Bondage
Pornography causes dopamine flooding—a chemical reaction in the brain that gives a sense of pleasure and reward. When masturbation follows, it cements the behavior into the nervous system.
Over time, this creates:
Addiction
Dependency
Escalation (needing more graphic content)
Detachment from real relationships
Romans 1:24: “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity…”
This becomes more than a habit—it becomes a stronghold.
4. The Spirit Behind Porn and Masturbation
This is not merely a physical battle. Porn and masturbation are doorways for spiritual infiltration. Spirits of:
Lust
Perversion
Adultery
Incubus/succubus (sexual demons)
Shame and condemnation
Incubus/succubus are empowered each time a person indulges. These spirits weaken spiritual strength, cloud discernment, and resist prayer.
1 Peter 2:11: “...abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.”
This is war. And you don’t win wars with willpower—you win them with spiritual weapons.
5. Breaking the Trap at the Midnight Hour
If the enemy attacks at midnight, then victory must also rise at midnight. God is calling His sons and daughters to take back the night through:
Midnight Prayer
Rise to pray and worship when the flesh wants to fall.
Cancel demonic programming with Holy Ghost fire.
Command your body and mind to align with God’s will.
Midnight Boundaries
Set firm limits: no phone, no movies, no social media after 10PM.
Protect your eyes and ears. The gate you open is the spirit you invite.
Job 31:1: “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.”
Midnight Accountability
Call a prayer partner when the urge is strong.
Confess before falling, not after.
Testimony: “I Was a Midnight Worshiper… of Lust” – Jonah’s Story
Jonah used to serve as a youth minister by day—but by night, he was addicted to late-night porn.
“The enemy had my nights. I’d finish Bible study, then binge-watch lust-filled content while everyone slept.”
He finally broke when the Holy Spirit gave him a dream: he saw chains wrapped around his hands while he led worship. “I was ministering, but bound. I was leading, but leaking.”
Through midnight intercession, fasting, and deliverance, Jonah was set free. “Now, when I wake at midnight, it’s not to sin—it’s to war. I took back my gate.”
Final Word
Porn and masturbation are not random struggles—they are demonic assignments launched with strategic timing. But the One in you is greater than the one against you. It’s time to break the midnight trap and rise in purity and power.
Isaiah 52:1: “Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments...”
CHAPTER 19
BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS – WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT IT?
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105
What God Thinks Matters Most
In a world where sexual sin is normalized and often excused, many believers ask, “Is masturbation really a sin?” Culture offers confusion, but the Bible offers clarity.
We don’t base truth on what feels good—we base it on what God has said. And God speaks clearly on issues of lust, purity, self-control, and honoring the body.
This chapter will unpack key Scriptures that lay a solid foundation for why masturbation is not just a private act—it’s a spiritual issue that affects your walk with God.
1. Matthew 5:28 – Lust Equals Adultery of the Heart
“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” – Matthew 5:28 (NIV)
Jesus doesn’t just deal with actions—He goes deeper into intentions and desires. Masturbation often involves sexual imagination, fantasy, or pornography. That makes it a direct violation of Jesus’ teaching.
This verse shows that:
Lust is not just physical—it’s spiritual.
Sexual sin begins in the heart and mind.
Secret indulgence is just as serious as visible sin.
“What you do in your mind matters as much as what you do with your body.”
2. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 – Your Body Is God's Temple
“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you... You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18–20 (NIV)
This is one of the clearest biblical warnings against sexual sin—including masturbation. Paul emphasizes:
Flee, don’t flirt, with sexual immorality.
Sexual sin damages you from the inside out.
Your body belongs to God—not to your cravings.
Masturbation uses your body for selfish pleasure, not divine purpose. It dishonors the temple of the Holy Spirit.
3. Galatians 5:22–23 – The Fruit of the Spirit Includes Self-Control
“But the fruit of the Spirit is... self-control.” – Galatians 5:22–23
One of the greatest lies is: “I can’t help myself.” But Scripture says when the Holy Spirit dwells in you, He empowers you to say no to sin and yes to holiness.
Masturbation, especially when it becomes habitual, is a lack of self-control. But the Holy Spirit gives power to overcome every sinful desire—not by willpower, but by surrender.
4. Romans 6:12–14 – Don’t Let Sin Reign in Your Body
“Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires... For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” – Romans 6:12–14
God commands us not to allow sinful desires to rule us. Masturbation, especially as an addiction, becomes a master that many secretly obey.
This verse reveals:
Sin wants to reign, but you have authority to resist.
Grace doesn’t give permission to sin—it gives power to overcome it. “What you feed becomes king.”
If you keep giving in to the flesh, it will rule over you. But in Christ, you have the power to take back control.
5. 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5 – God’s Will Is Your Sexual Purity
“It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable...” – 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5 (NIV)
People often ask, “What is God’s will for my life?” The Bible answers clearly: purity.
Masturbation is not holy, not honorable, and not in line with God’s will. When we walk in purity, we align with heaven’s purpose and gain spiritual strength and joy.
6. 2 Corinthians 10:5 – Take Every Thought Captive
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:5
The battlefield of sexual sin is often in the mind. If you can capture the thought, you can control the action. This verse teaches:
Don't let lustful thoughts roam freely.
Submit every imagination and fantasy to the authority of Jesus.
Mental discipline is spiritual warfare.
Masturbation often begins in the thought life—but Scripture calls you to rule your mind under Christ’s Lordship.
Testimony: “I Didn’t Know God Cared About This” – Daniel’s Story
Daniel was a worship leader in his twenties. For years, he believed masturbation was normal, harmless, and even helpful. No one in church ever spoke against it. But one day, while reading 1 Corinthians 6, the Holy Spirit convicted him deeply. “I realized I was dishonoring the very body I was lifting before God on stage.”
He began fasting, studying Scripture, and joined an accountability group. Today, Daniel helps disciple young men in sexual purity and boldly says: “I didn’t need opinion—I needed Scripture. And once I saw God’s truth, I couldn’t stay bound.”
Final Word
The Bible is not silent about sexual sin. God loves you too much to leave you bound. He has called you to live pure, love deeply, and walk in power. The Scriptures are not just rules—they are weapons for your freedom.
Psalm 119:9: “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.”
CHAPTER 20
OVERCOMING THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE OF MASTURBATION
Masturbation is not simply a physical act; it is rooted in spiritual darkness. As believers, we must recognize that the battle against such forces is not physical but spiritual.
As stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
" This verse reminds us that our fight is not against our own bodies or mere temptation; it is against powerful spiritual forces.
The world may suggest that we eliminate external triggers to stop the act of masturbation, but the root cause lies deeper, in the spiritual realm. Spiritual battles cannot be fought with physical means.
This is why, even after declaring your intention to stop, the spirit of temptation continues to return.
You may find yourself saying, “Just one more time,” before falling back into the cycle.
Spirits of darkness work by planting urges or passions that feel overwhelming, almost impossible to resist.
These spirits aim to control and manipulate, leading us to obey their commands rather than our own will.
The key to breaking free from this cycle is understanding the spiritual nature of the struggle and turning to Christ for deliverance.
Step 1: Acknowledge and Confess
The first step towards freedom is to fully acknowledge the issue. This begins by accepting that you are dealing with masturbation and confessing it openly. There is power in confession. Ephesians 5:13 says, "But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light." When you expose your struggles, they lose their power over you.
Christ does not call us to hide our sins, afflictions, or curses. James 5:16 encourages, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
" It is only through honest confession and prayer that true healing and deliverance can begin.
Many Christians attempt to cover their struggles with religious acts such as quoting Bible verses, giving tithes, or performing rituals, yet they are still bound by sin.
These actions cannot bring the deliverance they seek. The first step is to admit the issue and seek true liberation through confession and prayer.
Step 2: Repent and Seek Deliverance
Once you have confessed, the next step is repentance—turning away from your sins and seeking forgiveness. This includes not only repenting for your own actions but also for the sins of your forefathers, as ancestral spirits can play a role in the ongoing struggles we face.
Ask Jesus to cleanse you with His blood, washing away the sins and demons associated with them. Cry out to Christ for deliverance and be open to the guidance He offers.
Deliverance in Jesus Christ is powerful—it casts out the spirits that fuel these desires, urges, and passions.
When Jesus delivers you from the bondage of masturbation, He removes the urge, the desire, and even the imaginations associated with it.
The transformation is complete; the urges and dreams that once held you captive are no longer a part of your life.
Step 3: Sanctification and Transformation
God's desire is for us to be sanctified—to be transformed by His power. This process begins by allowing God to possess our spirit through regeneration (John 3:5-6).
Then, His Spirit spreads into our souls, renewing and transforming our thoughts, actions, and desires (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Finally, He enlivens our mortal bodies, transforming them with His life-giving power (Romans 8:11, 13; Philippians 3:21).
It is important to note that many may claim to be delivered from such temptations but still battle with desires, lusts, or sinful dreams.
True deliverance is not just a matter of outward behaviour—it is a complete transformation of the heart and mind.
You are not truly delivered until your conscious mind is governed by the Holy Spirit.
Step 4: Breaking Generational Curses
Deliverance also involves addressing the generational curses and altars that may have been established in your family line. Demonic strongholds from past generations can continue to influence us unless we actively renounce them.
Take the time to break these curses and denounce any agreements made by your ancestors, which may still be affecting you today.
Step 5: Living in Freedom
In Jesus Christ, we are called to live in freedom—not just a freedom from the act of masturbation but freedom from the desires, urges, and passions that drive us to sin.
True freedom is a life where you no longer feel the pull of these desires. You no longer feel controlled or manipulated by them. You live in victory, not in the chains of past struggles.
If I, too, have been delivered, you can believe that Jesus Christ will deliver you as well. His power is unchanging, and He is faithful to set you free from the grip of sin.
The Silent Struggle in the Church
It is heart-breaking that many individuals in the church today are silently struggling with masturbation.
Many hide their battle because they feel no one can see their sin. Worse still, some churches downplay the issue, claiming that masturbation is not a sin, and the true power of Christ’s deliverance is not taught or understood.
Many Christians are unaware of the deep healing and transformation that Jesus offers, because the testimonies of those who have been delivered are often not shared.
They remain trapped in silence, not knowing the freedom that is available in Christ.
CHAPTER 21
VICTORY IS A JOURNEY, NOT A ONE-TIME EVENT
How Deliverance Leads to Discipleship and How Freedom Is Maintained Over Time
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32
Many believers cry out to God for instant freedom from masturbation and lust. And sometimes, by His grace, God gives an immediate breakthrough.
But for most, the road to freedom is not a moment—it’s a process. It’s not just about deliverance; it’s about discipleship.
It’s not a sprint; it’s a marathon. This is because God is not just trying to stop an act—He is shaping a new identity, character, and mindset in you.
1. Deliverance Is the Door, Not the Destination
Deliverance is the supernatural intervention of God to break a demonic or sinful hold.
But deliverance is not the end of the journey—it is the beginning. When God delivers you from the stronghold of masturbation, He expects you to follow Him daily into a life of discipleship—learning, growing, and becoming more like Christ.
Luke 11:24-26 warns that when an unclean spirit leaves a person and finds the house "swept and put in order," but not filled, it returns with seven worse spirits. The message? If you get delivered but do not get discipled, you risk being bound again—worse than before.
2. Freedom Is Maintained by Daily Surrender
Victory over masturbation is not a one-time "altar call" but a daily decision. Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
Your victory must be guarded daily through:
The enemy doesn’t stop tempting just because you said a powerful prayer. He waits for a vulnerable moment. That’s why Paul said, “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection...” (1 Corinthians 9:27)
3. Renewing the Mind Is Key
You can't be free outwardly if you're still bound inwardly. The Bible says, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2). This means changing the way you think about:
Masturbation often thrives in lies like, “You’ll never change,” “It’s not a big deal,” or “God understands your weakness.” But truth uproots lies. God wants your mind washed by His Word.
4. Accountability and Fellowship Sustain Freedom
Lone wolves are easy prey. Isolation is the breeding ground for relapse. James 5:16 says, "Confess your sins to one another... and pray for one another so that you may be healed."
Find:
A mature believer to walk with you
A small group or purity fellowship
Someone who will pray, ask hard questions, and speak truth
Satan wants you to stay silent in shame. God wants you to walk in light and healing.
5. Don’t Just Avoid Sin—Pursue Purpose
True freedom is not just saying no to masturbation; it’s saying yes to God's purpose. You weren’t just saved from sin—you were saved for something greater. Begin to pursue:
Fill your time and mind with things that build you. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop—but a purpose-driven life is the devil’s nightmare.
6. Expect the Battle—but Expect Victory More
Even after years of purity, temptations may come. Don’t be shocked. Even Jesus was tempted. What matters is how you respond. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:7-8)
Each temptation is an opportunity to grow stronger, not to feel ashamed. Victory is a lifestyle of choosing righteousness every day—again and again, until the old appetite dies completely.
7. Grace Is Not a License to Sin—It’s Power to Overcome
If you fall, don’t stay down. Run to the Father—not from Him. Grace does not excuse sin; it empowers you to rise again. “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” (Proverbs 24:16) “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Use grace to get up, not to give up. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
From Delivered to Disciplined
Victory over masturbation is a journey of transformation—from being a slave to lust, to becoming a disciple of Jesus. It begins with a cry for deliverance, but it grows with a life of discipline, surrender, and love for God.
Every step you take matters. Every small victory builds strength. One day, your story will help someone else find freedom. “Freedom isn’t the absence of temptation—it’s the presence of power to say no.”
“God is more interested in making you holy than just making you feel better. He’s working on your heart.”
Chapter 22
The Silent Struggle – What No One Talks About
“Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” – James 5:16 (ESV)
The Struggle Behind the Smile
Every Sunday, churches are filled with people lifting hands in worship—while many carry a secret battle they’ve never told anyone.
Behind the polished shoes, the choir robes, the Bibles and the sermons, countless men and women are silently battling masturbation—feeling dirty, guilty, and helpless.
Yet, the Church often avoids this subject.
It’s whispered about, joked about, or ignored completely. The result? A generation of believers suffering in silence, ashamed to speak, unsure how to break free.
1. Why Is Masturbation Rarely Addressed in the Church?
It’s uncomfortable.
Many pastors and leaders avoid talking about it because of its sexual nature. The fear of sounding inappropriate or being misunderstood keeps it off the pulpit.
It’s taboo.
Cultural norms in many Christian communities treat sexual issues as forbidden topics—even though the Bible speaks about them clearly.
Leaders struggle too.
Sadly, many spiritual leaders are caught in the same trap. They feel disqualified to address what they haven’t yet conquered. “You can’t heal what you won’t reveal.” If the Church remains silent, Satan will keep shouting.
2. The Shame That Silences
Shame is one of the devil’s most effective tools. After someone masturbates, he whispers:
“You’re disgusting.”
“You’re a hypocrite.”
“Don’t tell anyone—you’ll be judged.”
This shame isolates believers and locks them in a prison of secrecy. Many pray for freedom in silence, hoping no one will find out, all while slowly dying inside.
Proverbs 28:13: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.” You don’t break chains in silence—you break them through truth, confession, and discipleship.
3. The Cost of the Church’s Silence
By avoiding this topic, the Church has unintentionally:
Allowed sin to normalize in secret
Failed to disciple people in purity
Left young believers vulnerable without guidance
Let the internet become the sex educator of Christians
When we stay quiet about masturbation, we give Satan the microphone.
4. Jesus Addressed Secret Sins Head-On
Jesus didn’t avoid tough topics. He said: Matthew 5:28: “Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Jesus wasn’t afraid to go deeper than actions—He went to the heart. He wasn’t trying to embarrass people, but to expose sin so it could be healed.
If the Church is to follow Christ, we must speak the truth in love, including the truth about lust, pornography, and masturbation.
5. Breaking the Silence with Truth and Grace
Freedom begins when we bring darkness into the light. The Church must become:
A safe place for confession, not condemnation
A training ground, not just a worship space
A discipling church, not just a preaching pulpit
We need to teach purity, not just preach about heaven. We must raise up leaders who walk in holiness, not just gifting.
6. Creating a Culture of Purity and Honesty
As pastors and leaders, we must lead by example. Let’s:
Preach on hard topics, including masturbation and sexual purity
Start purity small groups where men and women can talk freely
Provide counselling and accountability to those struggling
Equip young people with godly knowledge about their bodies and desires
Ephesians 5:11: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Exposure doesn’t bring shame—it brings healing.
Testimony: “When My Pastor Broke the Silence” – Joseph’s Story
Joseph was 19 when he first heard a pastor mention masturbation on the pulpit—not in condemnation, but with grace and truth. He said:
“For years I thought I was the only one struggling. I’d cry after falling into it, thinking I was cursed. But that one sermon gave me courage to talk to my mentor, confess, and begin my journey to freedom.”
Today, Joseph runs a campus purity group helping others who thought they were alone. “All it took was one voice to break the silence—and it saved my life.”
Prayer
“Father, forgive us for allowing shame and silence to hide what You came to heal. Help me be bold, honest, and hungry for purity. Give me the courage to speak, confess, and walk in truth. Use me to help others out of silence and into the light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Final Word
The Church must rise up and tear the veil of shame. Masturbation is not just a physical struggle—it is a spiritual stronghold that thrives in silence. But when the Church speaks truth in love, the captives will be set free. John 8:32: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
14-Day Deliverance Guide from Masturbation
DAY 1: Acknowledging the Battle
Theme: You cannot conquer what you won’t confront.
Devotional / Teaching:
The first step to deliverance is honesty before God. Many people are trapped in cycles of shame, hiding their struggles with masturbation as though God is unaware. But scripture tells us that nothing is hidden from Him.
In Hebrews 4:13, it says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
When you confess, you shift from hiding to healing. God does not condemn you—He offers mercy and power to overcome. 1 John 1:9 assures us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
By acknowledging our struggles, we align with God’s power to bring healing and restoration.
Repentance with Scriptures:
Repentance is a change of heart and mind. You turn away from the sin and toward God, trusting in His forgiveness.
In Psalm 32:5, the psalmist says, “I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.”
You must not only admit your sin but also recognize that God, through His mercy, has already forgiven you when you repent.
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I confess my sin of masturbation before the Lord (1 John 1:9). I do not hide my struggle, for He already knows (Psalm 139:1–2).
Like Paul, I admit that I sometimes do what I hate (Romans 7:15), but I thank God through Jesus Christ my Lord, who delivers me (Romans 7:25). I am not condemned (Romans 8:1), but I am being transformed by His grace.”
Prayer:
Father, I come before You in honesty and humility. I confess my sin of masturbation, and I bring it into the light. I know that You see my heart and know my struggles.
I ask for Your forgiveness, and I trust in Your mercy to cleanse me and restore me. Thank You for Your grace. I choose to walk in the freedom You provide, and I surrender my life fully to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
What emotions have been tied to your struggle—shame, secrecy, control, or comfort? Write down how long you’ve dealt with this and how it has affected your walk with God. Take time to reflect on how confessing this struggle opens the door for God's healing power.
“The first step to healing is admitting you’re wounded.”
DAY 2: The Root of the Sin
Theme: Address the root, not just the fruit.
Devotional / Teaching:
Masturbation is often not the root problem, but the fruit of something deeper: lust, trauma, rejection, loneliness, or boredom.
James 1:14–15 says, “Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”
The enemy thrives where wounds go unhealed. Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1), and healing at the root is what ends cycles of sin.
Your heart is the wellspring of life, and if it’s not guarded, it can lead to destructive behaviors. As Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Healing begins when we allow the Lord to uproot the things that lead us into sin.
Repentance with Scriptures:
Recognize that it is not just the action of sin but the underlying desires and emotions that need to be repented of. In Matthew 15:19, Jesus says, “For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”
Repent for the desires that have fueled this behavior, and surrender your heart to God for transformation.
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I renounce every hidden root that fuels this sin (Matthew 15:19). I guard my heart, for it is the wellspring of my life (Proverbs 4:23).
I will no longer allow desires to lead me into death (James 1:15). Instead, I surrender my heart to the Healer, Jesus Christ. Every deep place in me will be restored and made whole (Psalm 147:3).”
Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to the real roots of this bondage. Was it rejection, trauma, exposure to pornography, or loneliness? Whatever the source, I bring it to You. Heal me at the root.
Uproot every lie I believed and every doorway I opened. Restore my heart to purity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Ask yourself: “When did this start?” Was it during puberty, after abuse, or from exposure to media? Be honest and invite the Holy Spirit to highlight root issues.
Reflect on how your emotions or experiences may have contributed to this struggle. “If you don’t deal with the root, the fruit will return.”
DAY 3: Renouncing the Spirit of Lust
Theme: Lust is not just physical — it’s spiritual.
Devotional / Teaching:
Masturbation opens the door to the spirit of lust, and lust is never satisfied. Proverbs 27:20 says, “The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.”
What begins as a small indulgence often escalates into perversion, fantasy, and bondage.
The Bible calls us to flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness. 2 Timothy 2:22 says, “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
You must not only resist lust but renounce it—breaking its legal right over your life. You are called to be holy, for your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).
When you renounce the spirit of lust, you break the cycle of sin and open the door for the Holy Spirit to purify you.
Repentance with Scriptures:
Repent for allowing lust to control your mind and body. Romans 13:14 says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”
Repent for every time you have made provision for lust to take root in your life. Declare that you are no longer a slave to lust, but a servant of righteousness.
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I renounce the spirit of lust and sexual perversion. I no longer make provision for the flesh (Romans 13:14). I belong to Christ and have crucified the flesh with its passions (Galatians 5:24).
I abstain from lust that wars against my soul (1 Peter 2:11), and I walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh (Galatians 5:16). My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I honor God with it (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).”
Prayer:
Lord, I renounce lust in every form—mental, visual, and emotional. I shut every door I opened through pornography, fantasy, or self-gratification. I command every spirit attached to lust to leave in Jesus’ name.
Let the fire of the Holy Ghost purify me. I choose holiness today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection
Where are you exposed to lust the most? Music, social media, imagination? What do you need to cut off to shut the door on lust? Take practical steps and reflect on areas where you’ve made provision for lust.
“Lust always takes you further than you wanted to go.”
Day 4: Breaking Soul Ties
Teaching:
Ungodly soul ties are spiritual connections formed through sexual sin, fantasy, or emotional dependency. These ties bind your soul to people or experiences that feed the spirit of lust.
Masturbation often involves imaginary scenarios, sometimes linked to past sexual partners or pornographic images. These fantasies can create spiritual bondage.
You must break every soul tie that keeps you entangled in impurity. 1 Corinthians 6:16 warns, “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?
For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’” This applies not only to physical unions but also emotional and mental ones formed in the soul.
Repentance with Scriptures:
Repent for every ungodly soul tie formed through sin, fantasy, or emotional dependency. Confess specific instances where you allowed your soul to be tied to another through lustful thoughts or actions.
“Father, forgive me for forming ungodly soul ties through lust and sexual sin. I repent and renounce every connection not ordained by You. I declare that I am free in Christ.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I break every ungodly soul tie formed through lust and sexual sin. I am no longer one with sin, but one with Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17). I renounce every connection that draws me back into bondage.
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus and walk in purity and freedom.”
Prayer:
Lord, I bring every soul tie before You—past relationships, memories, fantasies. I renounce them and break them in the name of Jesus. Every demonic attachment, I command you to leave now.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, my heart, and my body. I am not joined to sin, but to You, Lord. Restore my soul and make me whole. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Who do you need to disconnect from spiritually and emotionally? Are there past relationships or images still holding power in your mind? What steps can you take to sever those ties completely?
“Every soul tie you don’t break becomes a chain the enemy uses to drag you back.”
Day 5: Closing the Door to Pornography
Teaching:
Pornography is not just a habit—it is a spiritual stronghold that feeds lust, defiles the mind, and invites demonic oppression.
Every exposure to pornography opens a door in the spirit, allowing unclean spirits to enter and bind. What begins as curiosity often becomes addiction, leading to deeper bondage and isolation.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:22-23, “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness.” You must guard your eyes and close every access point to darkness.
Repentance with Scriptures:
Repent for defiling your eyes and mind through pornography. Acknowledge how it has grieved the Holy Spirit and affected your relationship with God.
“Father, forgive me for using my eyes to indulge in sin. I repent for allowing pornography to defile my mind. Cleanse me and renew my heart and thoughts.”
Job 31:1 – “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I renounce every spirit behind pornography. I break every agreement I made with unclean images and videos. I make a covenant with my eyes (Job 31:1).
I am no longer under the control of lust, but under the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:2). My eyes will behold righteousness, and my mind will be set on things above (Colossians 3:2).”
Prayer:
Lord, I shut the door to pornography in Jesus’ name. I cancel every spiritual right the enemy gained through what I’ve watched.
Removal my mind of every unclean image. Cleanse my imagination. Let Your light flood every dark corner of my soul. Fill me with a hunger for purity. I submit my eyes to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
What devices, apps, or social media accounts lead you into temptation? Have you truly shut the door, or are you leaving room for compromise? What accountability can you set up to guard your purity?
“What you feed grows—starves the sin, and it dies.”
Day 6: Tearing Down Lustful Imaginations
Teaching:
Lust doesn't begin with the body—it starts in the mind. Fantasies, daydreams, and sexual imaginations create a breeding ground for sin. Scripture commands us to cast down imaginations and bring every thought into obedience to Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 – “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Father, I repent for entertaining lustful thoughts and wicked imaginations. Forgive me for exalting fantasies above obedience to You. Purify my mind and renew my thoughts.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I cast down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).
I take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). My mind is set on what is pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8).”
Prayer:
Lord, expose and destroy every fantasy and imagination rooted in lust. I surrender my thought life to You.
Let the fire of the Holy Spirit consume every mental idol and image. I receive the renewing of my mind through Your Word.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
What thoughts have you been tolerating that God is calling you to cast down? Do you spend time imagining sinful scenarios? How can you reprogram your mind with God’s truth?
“What the mind rehearses, the body performs.” You cannot live a pure life with a polluted mind.
Day 7: Purging the Spirit of Shame
Teaching:
After sin comes shame. Shame is a tool of the enemy used to keep you silent, stuck, and separated from God. It tells you that you are dirty, broken, and unworthy.
But Christ bore your shame on the cross so you could walk in freedom and boldness. Romans 8:1 – “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This means you let Christ life live in you.
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Father, I repent for allowing shame to shape my identity. I confess that You have not given me a spirit of condemnation. I receive Your forgiveness and grace.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I reject shame and condemnation. I am a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). I have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
I stand boldly before God, free and forgiven (Hebrews 4:16). I am no longer covered in shame but clothed in righteousness (Isaiah 61:10).
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for bearing my shame on the cross. I break agreement with every lie that says I am too far gone.
Cleanse my conscience and silence the voice of accusation. Fill me with Your love and acceptance.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Do you still carry guilt over past sin—even after repentance? What lies has shame whispered to you? What truth from God’s Word will you replace those lies with?
“Shame is the chain the enemy uses after the door is already open.” Guilt says ‘I did wrong,’ but shame says ‘I am wrong’—God breaks both.
Day 8: Reclaiming Your Identity in Christ
Teaching:
Deliverance is not just about what you leave behind, but who you become. The enemy wants you to forget who you are so you'll settle for less. You are not an addict.
You are not perverted. You are not too far gone. You are a son or daughter of the King. Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, forgive me for believing lies about who I am. I have allowed lust to define me, but You have called me righteous and redeemed.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I am a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). My identity is not in my past but in Christ. I am chosen, holy, and dearly loved (Colossians 3:12). I am not what I’ve done—I am who God says I am.”
Prayer:
Father, restore my true identity. Erase every label sin tried to place on me. Call me by my name, not my mistake. Let Your Word define me. I receive my place as a child of God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Have you accepted an identity based on failure or sin? What names or labels do you need to reject? What names does God call you?
“Don’t wear the name tag sin gave you when God already gave you a new name.” You’re not what you’ve been through—you’re who God redeemed.
Day 9: Severing Generational Curses of Perversion
Teaching:
Lust and perversion can be passed down through family lines. If your parents, grandparents, or close relatives struggled with sexual sin, that same spirit may seek to operate in your life. But in Christ, every curse is broken and every generational chain destroyed.
Galatians 3:13 – “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, I repent for any agreement I or my bloodline have made with sexual sin and perversion. I stand in the gap and ask for forgiveness for the iniquities of my ancestors.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I am redeemed from every generational curse (Galatians 3:13). The blood of Jesus separates me from the sins of my forefathers.
I renounce every inherited spirit of lust and perversion. I belong to a new bloodline—the blood of Christ.”
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I sever every ungodly generational tie to lust, masturbation, and perversion.
I break every chain passed through my family line. I release myself from every curse by the authority of the blood. I declare freedom and purity over my life and future generations. Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Do you see patterns of sexual sin in your family? How has it affected you? What declarations can you speak over your bloodline to claim freedom?
“What one generation tolerates, the next will embrace—until someone breaks the cycle.” You may have inherited the fight, but you’re anointed to finish it.
Day 10: Renewing Your Mind with the Word
Teaching:
Deliverance doesn’t end with casting out spirits—it requires renewing your mind daily. Lustful patterns are broken by replacing lies with truth. You need more than willpower; you need Word-power.
Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, forgive me for feeding my mind with filth and neglecting Your Word. I repent for letting culture shape me instead of Your truth.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind (Romans 12:2). The Word of God is my weapon against temptation (Ephesians 6:17). I meditate on God’s truth day and night (Psalm 1:2), and His truth sets me free (John 8:32).”
Prayer:
Jesus, cleanse my mind with Your Word. Help me to hunger for Scripture and meditate on it daily. Replace every lie I’ve believed with Your truth.
Teach me to love Your Word more than the things of the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
How much time do you spend in the Word compared to media or entertainment? What lies about lust or identity do you need to uproot and replace with Scripture?
“You can’t live free with a mind still chained.” The Word washes what sin tried to stain.”
Day 11: Rebuilding the Altar of Prayer
Teaching:
Prayer isn’t just a routine—it’s a weapon. Lust thrives when your altar is cold. A life of purity requires a lifestyle of prayer. Prayer builds intimacy with God and weakens the voice of temptation.
Luke 22:40 – “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, I repent for neglecting my prayer life. Forgive me for choosing distraction over devotion. I return to the altar with humility.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I am a person of prayer. I will not fall into temptation (Luke 22:40). I seek the Lord daily (Psalm 63:1).
His presence strengthens me and His Spirit leads me away from evil (Matthew 6:13). I walk in communion, not compromise.”
Prayer:
Father, restore my altar. Reignite my passion for prayer. Let my secret place be a sanctuary where You refine me.
As I seek You, break every temptation that tries to pull me away. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
Is your prayer life strong or weak? What can you do today to rebuild your daily altar? How do you feel when you spend time in God's presence?
“A cold altar leads to a hot battlefield.” If you stay on your knees, you won’t fall to temptation.
Day 12: Releasing Triggers and Temptation
Teaching:
Temptation thrives where triggers are unchecked. Lust often re-enters through the same cracks: certain music, scrolling late at night, being alone too long. Holiness requires wisdom—you must remove what stirs your old desires.
Matthew 5:29 – “If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out…It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, I repent for keeping the door open to triggers I know lead to sin. Forgive me for compromising and giving the enemy access.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I cut off every trigger that leads me into temptation (Matthew 5:29). I do not make provision for the flesh (Romans 13:14). I walk in wisdom and guard my heart diligently (Proverbs 4:23).”
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, show me the open doors. Reveal the triggers I’ve tolerated. Give me strength to walk away, delete, block, and shut down what doesn’t glorify You. I choose purity over pleasure, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
What are your biggest temptation triggers? What steps can you take immediately to cut them off? What environments do you need to avoid
“You can’t cast out what you keep entertaining.” The devil doesn’t need a door—he’ll use a crack.
Day 13: Walking in Daily Purity
Teaching:
Purity is not a one-time event—it’s a daily decision. You must wake up every day choosing holiness over compromise. Your eyes, ears, hands, and mind must be submitted to Christ daily.
Psalm 119:9 – “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Lord, I repent for inconsistency in my walk. Forgive me for choosing what feels good over what is holy.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I walk in daily purity. I am holy as my Father is holy (1 Peter 1:16). My way is guarded by the Word (Psalm 119:9). I choose righteousness, not compromise. I live set apart for God.”
Prayer:
God, help me to walk in daily purity. Make me sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Let my life reflect Your holiness. I give You my thoughts, actions, and desires today and every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
What routines can you establish to help you live a pure life daily? Are there daily compromises you’ve allowed? How can you replace them?
“You don’t drift into holiness—it’s a choice, not a coincidence.” Purity is a path, not a moment.
Day 14: Receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit
Teaching:
You cannot walk in purity by human strength alone — you need the power of the Holy Spirit. He is not just your Comforter; He is your Helper, Deliverer, and Sanctifier.
The Holy Spirit empowers you to overcome temptation, live holy, and walk in sustained freedom.
Many begin their journey with zeal but fall back into sin because they rely on willpower, not Spirit-power. Victory comes when you’re filled and led daily by the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:16 – “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
Repentance with Scriptures:
“Father, forgive me for trying to live a holy life without Your Spirit. I repent for depending on my own will instead of fully yielding to You. Fill me afresh.”
Declaration (Scripture-Based):
“I walk by the Spirit and do not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). I am filled with the Holy Ghost (Ephesians 5:18). The Spirit gives me power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
I am led by the Spirit of God, and I am a child of God (Romans 8:14).”
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I welcome You into every area of my life. Fill me with Your power. Let Your presence break every remaining chain.
Empower me to walk in purity, boldness, and holiness. I yield to You fully — guide my steps, correct my thoughts, and lead me into all truth. I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection / Journal Prompt:
“You can’t fight a spiritual war with fleshly weapons.” The Holy Spirit doesn’t just clean the house — He stays to protect it.
CHAPTER 23
A LIVING TESTIMONY: THE BATTLE BEHIND THE MESSAGE
When I wrote my book on the subject of masturbation, exposing its spiritual bondage and the enemy’s deception, I knew it wouldn’t go unnoticed in the spiritual realm.
The moment I began edifying God’s people and pulling them out of darkness, Satan retaliated.
One of his agents was sent to attack me. She initially reached out through Facebook and even through our ministry platform, awakeningsaints.org She slid into my inbox, appearing friendly and supportive—almost too supportive.
Gradually, she began following our ministry closely and eventually started attending our church services which are daily.
She would occasionally give me money, seemingly as a gesture of support. I didn’t keep any of it for myself—I made sure every coin went directly to the church treasury.
But this wasn’t just an act of generosity; it was part of her infiltration.
One day, after a powerful church service, as I was leaving, the Spirit of God spoke clearly: “Pray against the spirit of satanic agents.” I obeyed immediately.
As I began to pray, the atmosphere shifted, and she manifested right there.
Under the power of the Holy Spirit, she confessed that she had been sent to finish me—to destroy my life and silence my voice—because I was exposing truth and setting people free from sexual bondage, especially in the area of masturbation.
This encounter was a divine confirmation that the message God gave me is not only necessary but dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. It reminded me of the intense spiritual warfare that comes with tearing down strongholds and freeing the captives.
But praise be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
EPILOGUE:
THE FINAL BLOW TO THE SPIRIT OF MASTURBATION
There comes a point in every believer’s life when truth demands a response. Z\AThis is that moment.
You have read the words.
You have seen the deception exposed.
You now know that masturbation is not just a private struggle—it is a spiritual attack, a demonic doorway, and a destiny thief.
You cannot “manage” this sin.
You cannot “balance” it.
You cannot keep it as a pet and expect to walk in fire, holiness, and authority.
You must slay it.
For too long, masturbation has operated in the shadows—protected by silence, justified by loneliness, excused by exhaustion, and covered by false grace.
But now, the light has come.
And what you do next determines the direction of your life.
You Have Two Choices:
1. Return to the cycle
Pretend it's not that serious.
Brush it off as natural.
Remain bound, ashamed, spiritually dull, and disconnected from God’s full purpose for your life.
2. Rise up in spiritual warfare
Confront it.
Reject it.
Renounce it.
Cast it out.
Walk in the freedom Jesus Christ paid for with His blood.
“If the son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36
You were not created to be a slave to your own body.
You were not created to waste years in secret battles.
You were not created to live a double life.
You were created to walk in power, authority, and purity.
A Prophetic Declaration
In the name of Jesus,
I speak to every chain of sexual bondage—be broken.
I command every spirit of lust, perversion, and homosexuality—leave now.
I declare a cleansing of the mind, the body, the soul, and the memory.
I declare a fresh fire for purity, holiness, and intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
Your past does not define you.
Your weakness is not your identity.
You are not too far gone.
You are not alone.
You are free.
A Final Word
This is more than a chapter.
This is your wake-up call.
Heaven is watching.
Hell is trembling.
The Holy Spirit is ready.
You’ve exposed the demon.
Now, walk in deliverance.
Don’t go back.
CLOSURE
In conclusion, the battle against masturbation is not merely a physical struggle but a profound spiritual war that affects every aspect of one's life.
As we have explored, this seemingly private act can open doors to spiritual forces that rob us of peace, joy, and fulfilment.
Masturbation serves as a gateway for destructive spirits, causing emotional turmoil, spiritual disconnection, and hindering the divine purpose God has ordained for each individual.
It also affects our relationships—especially in marriage—by undermining the sacred bond between spouses and fostering a spirit of lust that distorts human intimacy.
However, the path to freedom is not only possible but also attainable through the power of Jesus Christ.
By acknowledging and confessing the issue, repenting, and seeking deliverance, individuals can break free from the strongholds of sin and experience true transformation.
This deliverance, empowered by the Holy Spirit, brings not only freedom from the act itself but freedom from the underlying desires, thoughts, and emotions that fuel it. True sanctification occurs when our hearts and minds are fully transformed, leading to a life governed by God's Spirit.
Furthermore, it is essential to address generational curses that may have played a role in perpetuating this struggle, as they too must be broken in order to fully embrace the freedom Christ offers.
As believers, we are called to live in victory, not as prisoners of our past struggles but as free people, liberated by God's grace.
It is crucial to recognize that many within the church silently struggle with this issue, often feeling isolated or misunderstood.
Unfortunately, some churches downplay the gravity of the situation, leaving individuals without the guidance and support needed to experience true healing.
It is vital that we foster an environment where transparency, healing, and the power of Christ’s deliverance are embraced.
Let us remember that, no matter how great the struggle, the power of Christ is greater. He is faithful to deliver, to heal, and to transform.
And as we walk in the freedom He provides, we can live a life of purpose, intimacy, and fulfilment in alignment with God's will
. Through His strength, we can overcome any spiritual battle, finding restoration and peace in His presence.
