By Pr. Denis Kalungi

Your labour will never be in vain.

“Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your labour shall be rewarded, says the LORD” {Jeremiah 31:16}.

Sometimes many people keep labouring for God, and it looks as if their labour is in vain. They can’t see any encouraging result or reward for their labour. Not everyone in this kind of situation continues because of the huge discouragement but let me tell you there is a day the lord set for you. It will never pass.

In whatever labour Job went through he had confidence in the Lord, he says “The length of our lives is decided beforehand— the number of months we will live. You have settled it, and it can't be changed Job 14:5. I am here to tell you that your time will never be in vain and it will come to pass.

See herein he told Ezekiel, “Ruin, ruin! Yes, I will make the city a ruin. But this will not happen until the one comes whom I have chosen to punish the city. To him I will give it Ezekiel 21:27.

Your husband will go to USA, Europe but he will come back to you. Your wife could be in marriage now but she will be back to you, mummy Justine Mugerwa is now settled with Daddy Tom mugerwa after the first marriage.

God is the best employer! However, His ways, most times, are difficult to understand. Those who’re working in God’s vineyard but are faced with discouraging circumstances should be comforted that God sees and knows their work. Jesus said to the churches of Asia, in the book of Revelations, over and over, “I know your works” {Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19; 3:1, 8, 15}.

God never forgets the labour of His workers. Keep working for God, even when it seems your labour is unrewarded. The LORD said He did not say to the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain {Isaiah 45:19}.

The Lord will not violate His Word. He says the labourer is worthy of his wages (Luke 10:7). In Malachi 3:5, The Lord Almighty says, “I will appear among you to judge, and I will testify at once against those who practice magic, against adulterers, against those who give false testimony, those who cheat employees out of their wages, and those who take advantage of widows, orphans, and foreigners—against all who do not respect me.

He has set a day to work for you, its writer herein Ezekiel 22:14,” Do you think you will have any courage left or have strength enough to lift your hand when I am finished with you? I, the Lord, have spoken, and I keep my word. Give him time when gets finished with training you he will work for you. I know you could be in a need of a PHD in primary seven {7} just give it time.

Here the Lord says"Isaiah 60:22. No matter what you may be facing today, trust in God's assurance that everything will fall into place in His perfect time." in his perfect time the Lord will work just keep in his ways please check herein please “Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart

Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations”

God rewarded King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his army, whom He had earlier used without giving them any reward Ezekiel 29:18-20 says, “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to labor strenuously against Tyre; every head was made bald, and every shoulder rubbed raw; yet neither he nor his army received wages from Tyre, for the labor which they expended on it.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; he shall take away her wealth, carry off her spoil, and remove her pillage; and that will be the wages for his army. I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor, because they worked for me,’ says the Lord GOD” . God rewards those who work for Him. Therefore, He rewarded Nebuchadnezzar.

The Lord is ready to end the proverb in your family in your life in your church, this is what he told Ezekiel, ““Mortal man,” he said, “why do the people of Israel repeat this proverb: ‘Time goes by, and predictions come to nothing’? Now tell them what I, the Sovereign Lord, have to say about that. I will put an end to that proverb. It won't be repeated in Israel any more. Tell them instead: The time has come, and the predictions are coming true!

Jesus also said in Revelation 22:12, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work”. You won’t miss your eternal reward in Jesus’ name.

Furthermore, God is also interested in the non-ecclesiastical work that people do. We serve God when we serve people. Therefore, the Bible says we should work with enthusiasm, as though we were working for the Lord rather than for people {Ephesians 6:7-8}. Whatever your profession is, render your service as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that the Lord will reward you in addition to the reward by your employer.

TAKE ACTION!

If you are not born again, you need to give your life to Jesus now. I urge you to take the following steps: *Admit that you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself and repent of your sins. *Confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. *Renounce your past way of life – your relationship with the devil and his works. *Invite Jesus into your life. *As a mark of seriousness to mature in the faith, start attending a Bible-believing and Bible-teaching church. There they will teach you how to grow in the Kingdom of God.

Kindly say this prayer now: O Lord God, I come unto You today. I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross to save me and resurrected the third day. I repent of my sins and confess Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I surrender my life to Jesus now and invite Him into my heart. By this prayer, I know I am saved. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me and making me a child of God.

I believe you have said this prayer from your heart. Congratulations! You will need to join a Bible-believing and Bible-teaching church in your area where they will teach you how to live your new life in Christ Jesus. I pray that you flourish like the palm tree and grow like the cedar of Lebanon. May you grow into Christ in all things and become all God wants you to be. I will be glad to hear from you. The Lord be with you.

PRAYER POINTS: Father, I receive divine encouragement to continue to labour for You. I come against the spirit of discouragement that wants me to stop labouring thereby losing my reward. I will labour to the end and receive my reward. I won’t labour in vain in Jesus’ name.
