UNDERSTANDING WHERE YOU LOST IT FROM BY PR DENIS KALUNGI

KIREKA CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

MAIN STUDY JEREMIAH 6:16

IF WE'RE WONDERFULLY MADE IN HIS IMAGE AND BLESSED WHY SUFFER AND SEEK GOD BUT SEE NOT, HIS CHILDREN 1 PETER 2:9

Genesis 1:26 then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and overall the creatures that move along the ground. Do you have control over, Lucifer?

Denis you were created a child of God not by merit but by a free offering what happened?

It's written Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." And for you even getting what to eat is a tug of war.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.

When God made man, He gave man dominion over everything on earth. To have an idea of the kind of dominion man would have not sinned, let’s look at the perfect Man, Jesus Christ.

When Jesus wanted to pay the temple tax, He only needed to command a fish to bring the money to Him see Matthew 17:24–27. When He wanted to feed a multitude, He only needed to multiply five loaves and two fish in His hands (see Mark 6:34–44. When a storm threatened the lives of His disciples, He only had to speak to the storm and there was perfect calm Matthew 8:23–26 this was God’s plan to mankind but what happened?

Where Adam and Eva did lose it from?

Genesis 3:12-13 the man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Results Genesis 3:16 to the woman Lord said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor, you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” and to the man Genesis 3: 17,” Lord said because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it, “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil, you will eat food from it all the days of your life. But I believe God wanted Adam and Eva to confess and repent but it was hard for them and to some of us in this present age.

Where did Cain lose it from?

Genesis 4:6, 10 -11, then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand

Where did Lucifer lose it from?

Based on Hebrews 1:14 Lucifer wasn’t sent to the earth to tempt Adam and Eve but to bless them. He was an angelic being sent to be their protector, to minister to them, and to serve them. He was there on a divine mission, still in his perfect state. It was in the Garden that his transgression against God was conceived and carried out.

So, what made Lucifer turn against God? Lucifer watched as God did something for the man that He had never done with any other of His creation. When God created man, not only was he made in the very image of God, but he was then given unconditional authority over this earth.

Even though Lucifer may have been God’s number one angel, he still wanted more. He was jealous and envious; he wanted to take God’s place.

God says in Psalm 89:34,

“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Lucifer understood the word of God and it was on the back of his mind that God is not a son of man to lie. The integrity of His Word holds the entire universe together. Unlike human beings who reserve the right to change their minds, God will not violate His Word. In Hebrews 1:3 The Lord went ahead to exalt his son Jesus Christ and Lucifer was not seeing himself in the equation.

Hebrews 1:3 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” when he heard this, I believe his antenna went up. He saw that Adam and Eve had something he did not have authority over. So he had to use them.

In Isaiah 14:13 it says,

“For you said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon, and that is how Lucifer lost it. What of you?

Where did man lose it from?

Romans 3:23 through one man for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And some of us are lost in habits like:

Witchcraft

Adultery

Shedding blood of innocent people

Adoring images

Divorces

Abortion

Lust

Rebellion

Strife

Fear

Satan is going about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour/eat. He is looking for people who will open the door through things like above 1 peer 5:8

But look the Lord says,” Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16 Denis, James, Joweriah don’t you see the signpost that you have got lost.

Don’t you see that when you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! Isaiah 1:15 some of us practiced abortion and we are busy asking God for children and he is not answering please watch the signpost and follow the ancient path.

Genesis 4:10-11,” The Lord asked Cain, what have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. You now ask yourself why wandering from place to place look at the signpost and look for the ancient way.

The Lord told you Israel through Moses,” I will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Deuteronomy 28:13 my brothers and sisters you work a lot but see not find the ancient way and follow the Lords commands

Isaiah 65:21 they will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. But Zephaniah 1:13 their wealth will be plundered, their houses demolished. Though they build houses, they will not live in them; though they plant vineyards, they will not drink the wine." Why? Deuteronomy 28:15 if you obey the commands of the Lord.

Esther, you seek God and do not see him do not you remember in Philippians 1:29 He said for it has been granted to us on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, but for u when trials come in your marriage you took divorce as the option.

Malachi 2:14 you ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the husband of your marriage covenant. Find the ancient path you got lost.

Malachi 2:16

For I hate divorce,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with wrong,” says the Lord of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit that you do not deal treacherously.

Peter if the” Lord says, if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land Isaiah 1:19. What are you waiting for? Do you need an angel to find you, pool up, and look for the ancient path where you used to be obedient to the Lord?

Which steps can one take to find the ancient path?

We can have our study from 2 Kings 6:1-7

How refreshing it is to be introduced in the scriptures to a man of industry, spirituality, principle, and humility. Such a man was the prophet Elisha, who was the spiritual father of student prophets.  When one student a son of the prophet lost a borrowed ax head in the river Jordan, he came to Elisha for guidance.

Step one admittance.

The student admitted he lost the borrowed ax head, which was a precious tool. Admittance is hard because it leads to responsibility, and responsibility is seldom/rarely easy. But responsibility makes recovery possible.

Admittance & Responsibility Open the Door to God’s Possibilities.

The son of the prophet wanted to maintain his integrity and believed in the process of recovery. God is necessary, but those who love and follow God are also necessary to the recovery process.  Transparency in relationships is central to effective counsel and support.  God is in the business of recovery, whether for lost precious items, hope, the direction in life, or relationships.

Step three Recovery is a Sticky/gummy Process.

Elisha threw a stick in the water where the ax head was lost.  Just as there was a place of loss, there was a place of recovery.  There is a stick, a tree that can solve every problem, heal every wound, and restore every soul, the tree called Calvary.

What do fools say?

Psalms 14:1-2, “Fools say in their hearts, there is no God.”  There’s nothing wrong with being lost—everyone goes there at times.

But turning away from God is foolish because we all get lost—we get lost in moral quandaries, questions of meaning searches for our values.

Examples of the people who defeated pride and found the ancient path

We look at the lost son, Luke 15:11-32 but from verse 17-19, when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’

This son put away the pride of this world and looked for the further and the further welcomed him what about you?

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool Isaiah 1:17-18 But:

You fear Ruth to see you confessing your sins

You fear your girlfriend to see you praying because she told you God is not there

You fear going back to the Lord

You want to KEEP a few of the old friends

You want NOT to give up your a saved and ungodly boyfriend or girlfriend

You want to hold onto your secret sins

You want to stay as close to our sin, and sinful attitudes and lusts as possible

You fear people to see you my friend everyone you see in the church has no time for that! Whoever you see in the church saw his or her signpost and turned or is trying to find the ancient path

Another example of a person who put off pride and looked for the ancient path and found it was Zacchaeus, read Luke 19:1-10 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. I do not know what has made you short that you can no longer see God maybe it could be:

Adultery

Slandering

Abortion

cheating

Grief but our God, God of all grace is here today to save your heart, climb your tree. I mean accept him, confess and repent, where possible pay back those you have created, and ask for forgiveness.

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, He heard someone praying his heartfelt prayer and he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” It does not matter what you have been but the right path is the solution. And the way to it is Jesus Christ John 14:6

Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” This man understood where he had lost it from because no one grieved him to pay those he had cheated. Where have you lost it from brothers and sisters? Jesus is the solution to the right path.

Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. We see Zacchaeus confessing and repenting to the Lord by asking to pay those he had cheated.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” So our Lord Jesus Christ is still waiting for you. Here He says “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this person turn to you, but you must not turn to them. I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,” Jeremiah 15:19-21

Whether you are currently lost or not. The church is a place not for people who are secure in themselves, but for people who are lost and who need to be found.

This is what you should have in mind. Even if you have stopped looking for God, God never stops looking for you. Like a shepherd that will leave all 99 other sheep and a peasant woman that has lost her most precious coin, no matter how lost you may be, God will find you. This is the good news of faith. We can read the parable of lost sheep in Luke 15:1-7 and the parable of the lost coin Luke 15:8-10 each time one chooses to look for the ancient path there are celebrations in heaven.

Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.

Any one of you may be lost. Perhaps you are still driving in circles trying to find your way; perhaps you have thrown your hands up in despair. You are asking yourself hard questions about why you are lost.  Perhaps you have come to some level of acceptance with your loss and are here, make yourself available to be found today.

One thing you should know:  that there is no place in this life you can go where God’s love cannot find you. God’s love never stops looking for you it’s a matter of admittance and acceptance that you’re lost. This is the place to be found.

Look at the signs posts and locate where you got lost from

Jeremiah 6:16 this is what the Lord says “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Jeremiah 3:22-23 Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding.” “Yes, we will come to you, for you are the Lord our God.

Isaiah 45:22 Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

When do we touch the heart of the lord?

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9-13 if not the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord {Romans 6:23}.

The promises of God are powerful and awesome to grasp. I pray that these scriptures about God’s promises were helpful to you today.

The Bible emphatically proclaims it by stating that even if your father and mother forsake you, the Lord will hold you close Psalm 27:10. You have one Parent and Friend who is the eternal Lover of your Soul, and he will never abandon you.

The Lord says in Isaiah 43:1, “Do not fear for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” God continues a few verses later in 43:4, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you.” Imagine the Lord saying that to you. Insecurities cannot rob you of who you are.

Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.

Isaiah 40:29:31 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Psalm 103 lists many ways that God wants to bless you. The psalmist exclaims, "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

What does God hate?

Hands that shed innocent blood, we quite naturally think of Cain and Abel Genesis 4:1-15. In the New Testament, we read about Cain, who shed innocent blood when he killed Abel 1 John 3:11-12, 15. Do you hate anyone? Then in God’s sight, you are a murderer, and God hates murderers.

A heart that devises wicked schemes, we are reminded of the source of evil which begins inside. See what Jesus said Matthew 15:18-19. How different was Dorcas in {Acts 9:36}; and Barnabas Acts 11:24.

Feet that are quick to rush into evil, here are feet that run to do mischief! This is the Devil’s work because he, “prowls around like a roaring lion, 1 Peter 5:8. God hates this mischief. What are your feet doing? Are they the beautiful feet of Romans 10:15?

A false witness who pours out lies has broken many a virtuous heart and stained many a virtuous/good reputation. It has nodded away many a good name and winked into existence a host of suspicions, that have gathered around and crushed the most chaste and virtuous of our kind. It often works in the dark, and generally under the mask of truthfulness and love.” God hates slander- see what He says about it in Ephesians 4:29 and 32.

A man who stirs up dissension among brothers, this perhaps is the worst of the seven sins, produces the disruption of friendships and the break-up of fellowship. God hates this!

How do we settle in the ancient path?

We must be honest with ourselves and with God; let the searchlight of His Word and of the Holy Spirit come into our hearts and reveal the things which displease Him. Then we must admit our wrong, confess our sin and forsake that which grieves the Lord 2 Corinthians 7:1.

Let us stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist Ephesians 6:14 and with the breastplate of righteousness in place in our chest place

Stand firm with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one Ephesians 6:15-16.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:15-16.

Live a repentant life Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.

Prayer for restoration

Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus Christ. I confess that I am a sinner.  I have lived a sinful and evil life.  I ask you to forgive me.  I repent of the sin in my life Lord.  Today, I choose to turn away from my old life and follow you into the new life you have for me.  I ask You, Lord Jesus, to come into my heart and save me from my sins.  Cleanse me from all evil and unrighteousness.  I ask for Your Blood to cover my sins and make me as white as snow.  I receive you into my heart Lord Jesus, to be my Lord, my Savior, and my Master from this day forth and even forevermore.

Thank You for removing all my sins with your powerful and precious Blood. Thank You for giving me a whole new life!  I ask Lord that you would help me to grow into the man/woman of God you have created me to be.  I ask all these things in Jesus’ Name.

Amen and Amen!
