Evil Politicians vs. adulterers 

A politician is a person experienced in the art or science of government while an adulterer is understood as sexual relations between a married woman and a man other than her husband or partner. Yet adultery is the game of evil politicians. 

I chose to talk about this topic after watching the film called games of Politicians. I believe God directed me to that Nigerian move because of a few reasons you will see below. I rarely watch moves.

The two adulterers and bad politicians have the same characters, and they all hold responsible positions, an adulterer is responsible for his or her family members and the evil politician is responsible for the statesmen. But all are described as sons and daughters of disobedience.  Anyone in a position of political power has to greatly exhibit elevated moral obligation to perform this due diligence.  Yes, with great power comes great responsibility.  If you’re in a position to pass or enforce laws, the lives and freedom of people are in your hands, but it's the opposite to these two political figures.

Where there is no head the family goes astray but imagine if the head of the family is the adulterer. Again I do not see a future in that family. I can compare the politician with my senior pastor, all are leaders of high authority who are supposed to exhibit morals of the highest level but if one of them chooses to be a bad leader where do we see the next generation 

Jesus and politics Politics may mean leadership

Politics is at the center of the story of Jesus. His historical life ended with a political execution. There have been politics from the time of Jesus and up to now, bad politicians have been there from the time of Jesus and for more information, Jesus's crucifixion was spearheaded by Rome Authority.

So also the heart of his message was political, it was about the coming of “the kingdom of God.” These are the first words of Jesus in Mark," the earliest Gospel, an advance summary of what the Gospel and the story of Jesus are about Mark 1:14-15. Whenever we talk about kingdoms we mean Authority “politics” and someone has to rule.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Actually, when I was watching the movie God revealed to me that politicians and adulterers are large, evil people. They are all daughters and sons of disobedience 

God Calls Us to Participate in Politics, As the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world” Matthew 5:13–14, the flourishing of our world is part of our responsibility. If I am the only light in a dark room, it’s my duty to engage in the political processes thus good leadership for God’s people. Psalm 33:12, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. This is because God knows authorities Romans 13:1-7

God calls us to respect government 

Matthew 22:17-21, tells us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” most people misinterpret this chapter and verses. It’s because our Lord Jesus Christ knows that leaders  can plan for the nation and through government to:

1, To put in place roads

2. To put in place hospitals

3. To pay civil servants

4. To Provide relief services only that other politicians tend to become evil politicians 

more so our Lord Jesus Christ knew that the money for church is to support church activities like missionary work, charity activities, and to support the church leaders that is they, say the priests and pastors.

Romans 13:6-7 

says “Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do. Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.” 

God calls to know that He puts and removes politicians

Daniel 2:21, He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have an understanding

To conclude on politics and Jesus, politics involves leaders and from the time of Jesus there have been leaders up to now even in churches and he exhibited the highest moral read Isaiah 53:1-5 yet he had the authority to take the lives of people but he did not. 

ADULTERY AS A GAME OF POLITICIANS AND BOSSES

Great heroes from the past have not been able to escape this flesh temptation of human foolishness and self-destruction. Adultery- sexual intercourse between a married person and another same people describes it as a sign of strength for the super-achievers, while some see it as a sign of weakness and of the chimpanzee in man.

The attitude of man towards adultery has been either sly or strong from the ages. The attitude of adultery to Muslim and ungodly politicians is unique. It is simply sex, as it will be rare to find a Muslim with one wife. 

Therefore an affair outside marriage has no influence on the public life of the adulterers and ungodly politicians. They take it as a game that shows their superiority.  The adulterers and ungodly politicians call this maturity and cleverness and they will never be shocked by the rich difficulty of life’s temptations

The big girls in the power, play on anyone they are pleased to satisfy their sexual urges. to the powerful super achievers in our society think taking unbridled/uncontrolled sex without restrictions is the reward for success. You can get it from me in Africa if someone was poor with one wife, if he gets riches he will definitely get four more, and it drives worse with Muslims.

Students in tertiary institutions who hold big public office celebrate their successes with other people's daughters and wives without shame. is this servant-ship?  Our leaders sleep with women, whether married or not, without blinking an eye. Sexual urges are in the genetic disposition of powerful people. Dr. Desmond Doris posited in his book, The Naked Ape, that men and women are no different from animals, and that the strongest species are genetically predisposed/subject to uncontrolled sexual urge and need to dominate. In other words, it is the ape in humans that drive them to sex and adultery. 

The Christian society thinks that leaders should be held to the highest behavioral standards so that they can be an example to the nation to drain such behavior. Leadership is a brand and needs to be maintained at the highest moral standards.

A recent study found out that there is a relationship between power and infidelity; the more powerful people become, the more they tend to cheat on their partners, and this relationship is directly due:

1, The higher positions they hold

2. Security given to them by the state

3. The big sums of money they earn

4. Authority given to them by government or society

5. Respect given to them by the society

The adulterers for this case they use their bodies to get what they need, they use their bodies as business and most of them spend time investing in their business through mark-ups yet to others taste does not matter because this is a demon operating in them.

Based on scriptures adultery can happen anywhere to anyone. You don’t have to be:

1, Handsome

2. Articulate

3. Successful

Muscular but any woman’s dream is to be in it. You can be dull, unattractive, overweight, without personality or charisma/charm, yet caught by the firestone they call ‘an affair’. 

1, You can be a mighty man of the Lord

2. You can be speaking tongues

3. Successful beyond your wildest dreams

A great warrior for Christ, and still be brought down by adultery. The Bible in 1Corinthians 6:18, commands us to “flee from adultery”, don’t argue with it, discuss its ramifications/result, don’t underestimate it, just run as fast as your legs can carry you. Getaway quick even if the other person will be offended or misunderstand or get angry, the wisest of leaders put miles between them and the temptation. 

Proverbs 6:32-35 declares: “But a man who commits adultery lacks sense, whoever does so destroys himself, Blows and disgrace are his lots, and his shame will not be wiped away; for jealousy arouses a husband’s fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge, he will not accept any compensation, he will refuse the bribe, however great it is”. 

The adulterous daughter of Eve, as an agent, is usually beautifully created, with good curves at the right places, vastly attractive, richly endowed, name-dropping ambitious or go-getting female; marriage means nothing to her, but the land title, cars, houses and she uses men’s like a ladder to climb to access her victims.

In Proverbs 5:3-6, the Bible tells us that the lips of the adulteress drip honey, her speech is smoother than oil, but in the end, she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword, her feet go down to death and her steps lead straight to grave; she gives no thought to the way of life; her paths are crooked, but she knows it not. Only the simple get caught!

 Adultery, therefore, is not a sign of strength, it is a sign of weakness; adultery is not an indicator of a healthy adulthood, it is an indicator of wounded childish behavior. 

Proverbs 6:27-28 can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished?

Adultery is not a sign of self-controlled leaders; it is a sign of out-of-control leaders. Adultery is not the badge of great leadership; it is the badge of failed leadership.

Adultery is never a private matter as leaders and adulterers may think, it leaves the spouses permanently wounded and in pain of humiliation. The children are worst affected as they remain crushed, trying to grasp the strange destruction of the secure world they were used to when their parents were together.

Even if the partner forgives you, the scars cannot leave at the moment because the world will not keep quiet however much a partner can keep quiet you cannot escape humiliation 

Adultery spoils all the reputation one works for in family, society, or in the area of responsibility. Leaders and powerful persons get involved with this evil for a few reasons; they are usually over-confident and have an inappropriate sense of security which leads them into counter-productive and risky behaviors like adultery.

Leaders are rarely selected on the basis of their integrity, which is ironic given that integrity is a quality that subordinates want in a leader. 

Power may corrupt, power itself attracts corrupt people and society pays a cost for the inability to stop mischievous individuals from reaching leadership positions, who sooner or later spoil revealing the dark side of their character. 

Another reason is that power makes people more attractive to women because most often, women’s relationship choices are driven more by status than looks, whereas the opposite is true for men, thereby exposing men to more temptations when in power. 

Finally, powerful people tend to perceive bigger gaps between them and others, including their romantic partners. This superiority complex increases the probability of acting disrespectfully towards their spouses and thereby legitimizes their cheating behaviors because they feel they're adulterers better than others, This superiority complex increases the probability of acting disrespectfully towards their spouses and thereby legitimizes their cheating behaviors 

Characteristics of the bad politicians and adulterer's are the same.

Poor Integrity, both bad politicians and adultery lack integrity, they do not care who they hate. One of my favorite leadership quotes is, "Integrity is the most valuable and respected quality of leadership

Lack of patience, both bad politicians and adulterers lack patience, they always need quick fixes and short cut they do not care who they hate. They're often impatient and irritable when things don’t go her or his way.

Little Vision for the future, both bad politicians and adulterers lack spiritual eyes, they only see today or things around them but not minding of tomorrow, they only see what they can rob at moment but not to push forward to make tomorrow more efficient and productive than today

Lack of accountability, While the best politician gives accountability bad politicians do not and it’s the same with adulterer's there always rude to their partners in that there not reliable to accountability. Things go well and they earn credit but when things go wrong they blame others.

They lack the insight to build, both bad politicians and adulterers do not have the insight to build but they are always looking for their exit benefits.

Poor Communication Skills, great communication skills are by far some of the most important traits for a good politician but the opposite to bad politicians and adulterer's who are not reliable to any question.

Self-centered, both bad politicians and adulterers are both self-centered in that they do not mind about others but after sanctifying their needs 

Unpredictable and erratic/unreliable, they are rather unpredictable and erratic in their behavior. Such politicians are not different from adulterers 

Heartless, they manipulate others with unpredictability and demandingness. They do not mind other people’s lives, it’s after them. Such politicians are the same to adulterer's killing is not a mountain before them.

Kingdom breakers, both never build, they always look for the exit but not building for the future generation.

Use others as stepping stones, both bad politicians and adulterers use their co-creator as stepping stones to achieve their goals.

Prayer 

Exodus 20:14

Dear Lord, Your Word clearly states that I shall not commit adultery. The commandment is simple and I must honor my partner and not defile the marriage bed under any circumstances. I pray that whenever I feel distant from my partner or angry or hurt, let me not respond to these fleshy emotions. Let me seek your face at all times. This is my prayer, Amen.

Hebrews 13:4-5

Heavenly Father, You intended marriage to be held in honor and the marriage bed undefiled by immorality or by any sexual sin. Right now, I pray against the spirit of adultery in Jesus's Name. I pray that you keep my heart and mind clean as you judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. I pray that I am satisfied with and grateful for the partner I have married. I pray against any lustful desires that enter our relationship, Amen.

Prayer to local leaders

Jesus, you were born in a little town. You grew up under the authority of local leaders and officials who managed the majority of your daily life. We lift up our local leaders today. We pray for our mayors, city councils, county commissioners, police chiefs, judges, and all who serve our local communities. Strengthen them with wisdom and grace for the heavy burdens they carry. May they manage their teams and projects with love? Keep their hearts pure and their eyes turned toward your face as they work in the best interests of the people they are called to serve
