THE THREE PARTS OF MAN AND THEIR ACTS

The three parts of man, the spirit, soul, and body. Let’s take a look at note by note reading from {1 Thessalonians 5:23}

“This word strongly indicates that man is of three parts: spirit, soul, and body. The spirit as our inmost part is the inner organ, possessing God-consciousness, that we may contact God {John 4:24; Romans. 1:9}

The human spirit is the deepest part of a person. By means of this innermost part, we can contact God in the spiritual realm. No other creature was created by God with this third part, by our spirit, God can be realized by us.

Now let’s read the next section of the note, which explains our soul:

“The soul is our very self {Mathew. 16:26; Luke 9:25}, a medium between our spirit and our body, possessing self-consciousness, that we may have our personality.” Our soul is our personality, who we are. With our soul we think:

1, Reason,

2, Consider,

3. Remember, and wonder. We experience emotions like happiness, love, sorrow, anger, relief, and compassion. And we’re able to resolve, choose, and make decisions.

Now let’s see about our body and how our three parts are related: “The body as our external part is the outer organ, “possessing world-consciousness, “that we may contact the material world. The body contains the soul, and the soul is the vessel that contains the spirit.” Through its five senses, our body exists in and contacts the tangible things of the material world. It’s the visible, external part of our being. Our soul is contained in our body, and our soul is the vessel containing our spirit.

What was God’s intention for all the three parts of our being?

“In the spirit, God as the Spirit dwells, in the soul; our-self dwells; and in the body, the physical senses dwell. God sanctifies us, first, by taking possession of our spirit through regeneration {John 3:5-6}; second, by spreading Himself as the life-giving Spirit from our spirit into our soul to saturate and transform our soul {Roman. 12:2; 2 Cor. 3:18}; and last, by enlivening our mortal body through our soul {Roman. 8:11, 13} and transfiguring our body by His life power {Philippians. 3:21}.”

God’s intention concerning us is that we would contain and express Him. But to express God, we need to be filled with Him. When we believed in Jesus Christ, we received Him and were regenerated, or born again, in our spirit. But He doesn’t want to only fill our spirit. That’s just the beginning. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 tells us, “The God of peace sanctifies you wholly.”

He sanctifies us by spreading into and saturating our whole being, starting from our spirit, continuing into our soul, and eventually including our body. By being wholly filled with God in every part of our being, God can be expressed through us.

I think after understanding the body as our external part that is to say an outer organ, “possessing world-consciousness, “that we may contact the material world. We can see the acts of the flesh. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are:

1, Immorality

2, Impurity

3, Sensuality

4, Idolatry

5, Sorcery

ETC enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God { Galatians 5:19-21}

Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. {Ephesians 2:3}, my friend you will never quench the desires or lusts of the flesh if it lusts for a brown-reddish girl today tomorrow it will ask for a blackish one, and so on.

For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you want {Galatians 5:17}, But the most important thing put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh regarding lusts {Romans 13:14}.

However, we are questioned, not to offer any parts of our body to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness {Galatians 6: 13},

For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mindset on the flesh is death, but the mindset on the Spirit is life and peace because the mindset on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, read more { Romans 8:5-9}.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus, have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires {Galatians 5:24}, things like:

1, Orgies,” it means party after party “

2, Adultery

3. Drunkards

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life {Galatians 6:8}, Paul says,” For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death {Romans 7:5}

We can put our body under submission through prayers, fasting, reading the word of God, by reading the word of God you will realize that the spirit will be fed, furthermore by reading the word Christ is allowed in and transformation of the body is evident.

I surrender my will in exchange for the divine purpose that is locked inside of me. Lord, I submit to your Lordship and sovereignty. I submit myself to you as all of creation does. I freely give you access to move unhindered in me and through me.
