THE TRANSFORMATION WATCH OR EIGHTH WATCH

It’s an hour of prayer from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, it actually ushers us into the hour of prayers according to ACTS 3:1-7

It’s time for deliverance, One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money {Acts 3:1-3}

Let us see it biblically {Acts 3:6-7} then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. Ask for an encounter with Jesus of Nazareth.

It’s time to hand over all your anxieties to God, It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last {Luke 23:44-46}, I will go about this note by note.

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon,” Jesus' death occurred in deep darkness; a darkness that had its way for a brief or short-lived spell before its stranglehold on us is broken forever by Jesus' resurrection, “meaning death occurs in darkness. The curtain was torn in the Temple; Jesus opened up the way for us to enter the Holy of Holies with confidence and find grace at the mercy seat of God, ”it’s time to present ourselves to God,”

It’s time to entrust Jesus Christ with everything, it's written,” In his final breath, Jesus entrusted everything to his Father in faith; in our worst of moments, we can know that no matter how forsaken we may feel, God will bring us to himself in glory. Furthermore, it’s time to let the sinful old person die, it is written, “Jesus took his last breath and his earthly body died;

It’s time to meditate about the price that was paid for you and me, by presenting your prayer, All praise to you, the God Almighty, the Father of mercy, and the Sovereign God of grace. Jesus, thank you for your example and the price you paid to provide grace for me.

It’s time for communication with the Lord, One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!” Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God {Acts 10:3-4}

It’s also time for visitation Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me and said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor. Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.’ Acts 10:30-32

It’s time to pray your heartfelt prayer {James 5:16}, we are told that the “prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” As we pray, we stand to watch over our families, cities, and nations. Just as men stood on city walls in the Bible to watch for approaching danger, God calls us to be modern-day watchmen and warn those who are in danger {2 Kings 9:17-18}.

We are to watch not only for the enemy’s activity but also for the manifestation of God’s plans. If we watch for the enemy and announce his activity, we can avert the devil’s plans to steal, kill and destroy what God has for us. Jesus said in {Matthew 24:43}, “But know this, if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.”

Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray {Matthew 26:41}. To watch and pray means to be spiritually alert at all times so that we can see when Satan is at the door, desiring to entrap us. The watchman on the wall, in biblical times, was always on guard against any attempt of an enemy to attack or infiltrate the city. Oftentimes, we are confronted with having to make major decisions that will impact our lives and the lives of loved ones. It is important that we pray and seek the mind of God. When Jesus prayed to the Father, He said, “The Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,” (Matthew 6:10}. We can discover God’s will and thwart or prevent the plans of the enemy through strategic prayer and the Holy Spirit’s leading.
