WON’T GOD WORK?

Sometimes, God allows His servants to go through a tough and difficult time to break and humble them. When you think you are too anointed, too gifted, too blessed, too powerful, too influential, too connected, and too graced, God will deliberately permit certain things to happen to you just to teach you and also let you know that you are nothing without Him. Below are some of the people who went through it and God was glorified.

God changes caterpillars into butterflies, sand into pearls, and coal into diamonds by using time and pressure. He is working on you too.”  You are where God wants you to be at this very moment. Every experience is part of His divine plan.” “In our waiting God is working.”

Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.” Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, and prophesy to my people Israel.’ {Amos 7:12-15} that is the situation prophet Amos went through but he served God

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.” this was already a promise from God, what God says no one can stop it”

 His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said. Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” You only need to listen to God’s promise everyone may undermine you and do not expect everyone to understand you”

When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”  His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind {Genesis 37:5-10} they may speak failure about what God has promised but never be dismayed, it was said to you not them.

When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?” So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died: ‘this is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed to treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept. {Genesis 50:15-18} they will come back to you afterward saying we have been praying for you.

His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.{Genesis 50:15-18} listen when they come to you forgive it was God’s plan such that you could kick start the Journey.

Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” this was King Nebuchadnezzar’s instruction to bowl down and worship the idol, it’s not bad to listen to a leader’s instructions but which instructions? Avoid compromising with sinners.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve can deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”{Daniel 3:16-18} be of a sober mind like these three boys everyone will ask you to like him! One of my sisters told me during my wedding please do not shame us so many born-agains have a shaming us and I told her I am a different born-again. What did God say he will fulfill it if you walk in his ways?

Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans, and other clothes were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace. These guys had understood God {Daniel 3:19-24}

Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, You’re Majesty.” He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.” God will join you and walk with you. Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Highest God, come out! Come here!” {Daniel 3:15-25} this is the time Nebuchadnezzar realized that these boys were sons of the highest God

So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire, and the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads sang; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. So many will join you during the time of victory, many joined them and said to them we have been praying for you guys.

Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. They will praise your God at the end of the day.

Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses are turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.” Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon. {Daniel 3:25-30} so many people are waiting for your submission such your God can be worshiped by every race he will fulfill his promise

Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, Your Majesty, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day.” When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him, {Daniel 6:14}

Then the men went as a group to King Darius and said to him, “Remember, Your Majesty, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed.” So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his signet ring and with the rings of his nobles so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed. Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep {Daniel 6:15-18}

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions? “Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”{Daniel 6:19-22}

The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones. If you serve God faithfully your enemies will fall into their pits.

Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth: “May you prosper greatly? “I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. “For he is the living God and he endures forever; his

Apostle Paul said, “because of the abundance of revelation given unto me, there was given unto me a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure! 2 Corinthians 12:7

Jeremiah was also about to be killed after telling the prophecy on had given him “This is what the Lord says: ‘Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague, but whoever goes over to the Babylonians will live. They will escape with their lives; they will live.’ 3 And this is what the Lord says: ‘This city will certainly be given into the hands of the army of the king of Babylon, who will capture it.’{Jeremiah 38:1-4}”

Then the officials said to the king, “This man should be put to death. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin.”  “He is in your hands,” King Zedekiah answered. “The king can do nothing to oppose you.” even the word of God you have will be opposed.

So they took Jeremiah and put him into the cistern of Malkijah, the king’s son, which was in the courtyard of the guard. They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud. {Jeremiah 38:1-4}” yes he was put into the pit but he never departed from God’s word and God will always send his angels to rescue you.

God’s plan is always the best. Sometimes the process is painful and hard. But don’t forget that when God is silent, He’s doing something for you.”

Be blessed.
